Who owns .chat domain names?

How does it rank?

Thinking about picking a couple up but I thought I would ask GFYers before I waste my money.

Not sure how they rank but I monitor a lot of cam terms and haven't noticed any .chat domain ranking for something decent (at least in TOP20).

I dunno about .chat but I own few .webcam and they are not even indexed well only few pages on a site with thousands of pages !

As far as indexing goes we have About 3,060 results (0.49 seconds) for sex.cam in about a month indexed. There is nothing "viral or branded" involved ...

This past week;
Direct 53%
Referral 45%
Organic Search 2%
Social 0%
*mid 5 figure total sessions for the week.

Only 9.3% of the URLs submitted in the site map are indexed -- most are dynamically generated "affiliate content" type pages.

I think organic values are low because of all the affiliate referral content on that website. I probably should not say that -- however -- the content is from several sponsors and the site has a "review" angle -- it's really intended to be a demo type website.

I think the Direct count might be indicative of the 'branding' possibilities of a short name with a new gTLD.

Hypothetically, a good SLD Domain name + .chat could brand. The EMD or PMD value is not yet proven.

Unique user favored content is the key in my assessment. If you want the claim of fame you need of offer a unique value -- easy to say but hard to do.
