Google Analytics Spam - just in case you have it
Hello everyone,
Lately I've noticed, in some of my Google Analyitcs numbers, some traffic coming from motherboard vice. It's pure spam and just in case someone else sees this kind of traffic, here is an article that explains it. Also I've seen the same from reddit... motherboard.vice.com traffic in Google Analytics - What is It And How to Deal With It? | Analytics ToolKit |
I have notice they hit at once.thanks for sharing

We get those a lot too. I know of the filter method to block it, but why can't Google simply add in a whitelist function in Analytics and just ignore reporting from any other domain?
|
Zenra, do you have link or copy/paste the info how to filter these traffic stats out?
Thank you |

If you go in Analytics to Administration›Reporting View Settings you have this option:
Bot Filtering Exclude all hits from known bots and spiders |
I googled this the other day because I had heaps of it. I had to add a filter to my analytics
