The Best VPN
 

I have been looking to get a VPN. I look online. They all looked the same mostly. Would anyone recommend a good one?

Using NordVPN, no issues so far.

I've used hidemyass for years, working pretty good thou it can be slow at times.

Purevpn, no issues for 2 years.

i guess they must be some promotion going on as well.

Set up on your own server. And it's free.

Edit: go to stacksocial.com and find purevpn and a few others. They are offering lifetime deals.

They raised their prices and have since been bought by AVG. They advertise as being on sale, but their discounted rates are quite a bit higher than it used to be prior to being bought out. I also find their new versions (their old version is still ok) to be somewhat archaic to use.

How do you activate this VPN? I have tried googling...

If you just need it for every now and then you might want to take a look at TunnelBear. They offer 500MB/month for free. They are based in Canada and offer decent service.

I'm using windows 10..some sites are saying that 128 is just as safe as 256. Some are saying the opposite..not sure who is telling the truth.

I'm using Private Internet Access for years, very fast and reliable.

128 can be broken, 256 is a totaly differen ball game.
Then it requires so much computing power, that for most stuff, it is simply not worth it. Most people do not have assets, that can be stolen, to justify for the bad guys the computing power required to break a 256 bit encryption.

You actually have a google chrome extension that can be used as vpn. it's called data saver. But I've worked with vyprvpn also and it's great.
