Second largest internet ad placement company drops Breitbart.com over hate speech
And so the dismantling of the alt-right begin
Perfect time for Crack revenue and others to approach Breitbart :thumbsup --- According to Bloomberg Technology, AppNexus ? which handles about $2.5 billion in ad spending ? is pulling the plug on the website that has promoted itself as the home of the so-called ?alt-right? by promoting extreme rightwing and racist stories. ?We did a human audit of Breitbart and determined there were enough articles and headlines that cross that line, using either coded or overt language,? AppNexus spokesperson Joshua Zeitz explained. The Breitbart website came under increased scrutiny after CEO Steve Bannon joined the campaign of President-elect Donald Trump, before being tabbed as senior White House advisor. According to the spokesperson, Breibart isn?t being dropped because it posts fake news stories, with Zeitz stating, ?This blacklist was solely about hate speech violation.? Breitbart doesn?t buy ads directly from AppNexus, however the website works through various automated networks and exchanges and will be banned from acquiring any advertising from the exchange that AppNexus oversees. The conservative website will still be able to access ads via Google?s DoubleClick service which is the leader in digital display advertising. According to the Bloomberg report, Google has rules in place barring its ads from running next to ?harassing or bullying content? and ?content that incites or advocates for harm against an individual or group.? If they say it doesn't post any fake news stories, how is it hate speech if they are posting things that are true?

Just went to the site for the first time and didn't find any 'hate speech' - what they often do is simply citing people without a PC filter and without a brain shattering PC spin.
Do they do that on purpose? sure as this is what perhaps distinguishes them from the rest of the overly PC resources that at the end appear superficial and completely one sided to many. Anyway with that hate speech charade It's all like a new age witch hunt - in the cold war times you were hunting 'communists'. Now if you want to discredit somebody you shout the magic word 'racist'. I bet all these PC elites also publically support the most hostile and hateful regimes in the world as a part of their PC doüble talk. |

Appnexus handle $2.5 billion? seriously?

hate speech = disagreeing with me

So, Trump and Bannon wanted to threaten the "Liberal Media" and beat them into submission :1orglaugh:1orglaugh
Tough shit, when you try to pee with the big dogs don't get piss on your head :2 cents: |
Blah just an open door for a smaller player to capitalize off of. No loss for breitbart. They didn't get where they are by being PC. I love watching all of these liberal companies commit corporate suicide.

Sour grapes.
You can refuse to do business with anyone if it is not in violation of state or federal law. Thought you were all LAW AND ORDER? This refusal to do business is 100% legal and part of free commercial speech rights under the 1st Amendment and freedom of association guaranteed to all by the constitution. Wake up call: the US government and its executive branch are not above the law. Their feet will be held to the fire by the people -- that is how the USA works. https://s14.postimg.org/t4pmgks01/mu..._706701982.jpg |

the main problem is the news media. more than any other institution, the media is the source of all the social division. They coddle one side, even to the point of covering for criminals, while constantly branding all dissenters deplorable, racist sexist. its their form of shutting down free ideas, because their ideas only sell in liberal vaccuums like college campus, or facebook campus. if the media simply did their jobs, PC identity politics would be framed where it belongs, right next to the KKK. The rest of america has to put up with their constant stream of bullshit. & it casts a pall over the country. Half the country was celebrating trumps win, but you would never know it watching the news. disgraceful. :2 cents: |

If you use a racial slur and someone calls you out for it, does that mean it's just a simple disagreement? |
Breitbart.com may continue to publish -- what is your problem?
Breitbart can say what they want to say within the law -- what is your problem? I actually listened to this (*in the background sort of long ) -- this is the strategy of the "other" side. Stephen Bannon and Breitbart.com are not restrained of their free speech rights. |

I never go to that site so I can't say if they did or not, but there is a VAST difference between being overtly 'pc' and hate speech, the difference is obvious to anyone. You guys assimilating the two have something wrong with you.
|
Doesn't matter, they will still make money.
|
A little background: David Rubenstein, the CEO of the $2.4 billion "The Carlyle Group" (a global private equity investment company in D.C.) is also president of AppNexus. So it's crystal clear why AppNexus wants nothing to do with Breitbart.
|
I suppose they think that the Huff Post is okay though? A so-called news service that hates anyone who isn't an american black lesbian.
