Cube 2: Hypercube
Caught it twice today on cable, what did you think of it?
|
hope there is cube 3, since I still cant figure out wtf its all about
|
i mean what the big picture is
|
I saw the previews...never saw Cube 1.
Sci-Fi sucks right now...I'm going thru Stargate SG1 withdraw until the new season starts. Tremors is a crappy replacement. |
|
Cube 2 sucked...
|
I haven't seen Cube 2. I was surprised when I saw Cube, it was quite good. I have to say, though, I was disappointed to hear they made a sequel (and maybe a third). I liked it the way it was, unanswered questions and everything.
Anything that makes a buck or two these days is BOUND to spark a sequel even when one is not warranted. This is especially true of independent films right now. SpaceAce |
i'll wait until....

christ on an unfolded hypercube. |
when you say Cube 1, are you talkign about that movie where strangers make up in this huge cube and have to escape booby trapped rooms? they made a sequel to that?
|
Cube 2 was nice but I likes the 1st episode better
|
It was interesting. I just now realized it was a sequel; now I vaguely remember Cube...maybe they'll show both tomorrow. (Sci-Fi doing reruns? NAW!)
Dunno if it was good, really, but it entertained me, and after a weekend with the fine folks at the Phoenix Forum, that's saying something. :) |
Haven't seen Cube 1, I think they showed it this weekend too on SciFi, but we were too busy networking and drinkin' at the Phoenix Forum to catch it.
Just watched Cube 2, and frankly it kinda fell flat for me. Great concept, but poor execution. Would love to see Kubrick do it, but since he's kinda dead, it'll be hard to get him to take on the project... :p |
watched it last night, though i am happy to see the story unfold i agree with venturi, this one was flat.
the first cube was fantastic, loved it. awesome concept. cube 2 seemed a bit rushed, as though they did an all night script write just to get it done and aired. it could have been really fantastic, but it was a let down. :( |
my guess in regards to the study of time and teleportation will be used in delivering people between wherever they put the PrisonCube, HyperCube, or the third Cube, or all 3.
The water at the end leads me to believe they could either be studying to put the cube in space, or deep in the ocean, as either a prison or again, time travel and teleportation for many reasons could be being developed. hopefully much is cleared in the third, this one left a few things still unclear or perhaps just confusing on purpose? if they put the original cube (the prison) at thwe bottom of the sea, or in space, the second Cube, through teleportation could move people there? Or as I said the teleportation could be being developed along side the other prison cube as a total other experiment, my guess is they are entwined hence the 'second phase' line. it'll be interesting to see how they tie it together, if at all they do. |

ive seen many of his pieces over the years. his use of the hypercube should be noted. unfolded hypercube even, then using it as a crucifix, math and theology, i love it. :glugglug |
Does it come on again tonight? I wanna watch it. Cube 1 was weird.
|
|
Thank ya much...site's taking a while to load for some reason though.
|
I'll have to watch it. I thought the first one was great.
|
at least they revealed somewhat more information than in the first one.
