How is San Jose?
I'm gonna be moving to California shortly...I've been to San Diego and Laguna Beach area before and have loved it there...Never been to San Jose, but have some relatives there. Anyone live there? How is it?
|
cold and windy. dark and scary. no fun there.
Phonix is much better place |
Expensive, no single women, good restaurants, ...
You will end up spend alot of your free time in San Francisco. |
I've driven past and through it several times...
looked crowded & dirty...I got spoiled on clean air & lack of crowds down in Shell / Pismo Beach.... |
Hmm lemmie see..
It's called the pit because it overheats and smells like one in the summer. The air isn't fit for pigs. The tap water tastes like dog shit and make coffee that tastes like brake fluid. Downtown is filled with students who can't drive and slam on their brakes randomly. Public transport is filled with felons, illegal and other wheel-challenged persona. Nightlife consists of talking about work at the the 3-4 bars employed patrons prefer. New immigrants had no life back home and they haven't visited the cities you did in their homeland. Often you must speak their dialect of their language although they've been here for years. Most San Jose boys grow up dreaming of owning a souped-up Ford pickup truck with Rush blasting from the stereo, while the girls grow up to be obese, bitter secretaries with horribly permed hair and sun-poisoned complexions. San Jose invented the gesture of saying "How are you" then wincing with agitation when you explain. Traffic moves at a geological rate from the south county line 130 miles northward on both freeways. The highest property prices in the land. Million dollars buys a two bedroom house and a Honda sized yard. As many con artists per acre as many federal prisons. Centerpiece for "corrosive nihilism" immortalized in the classic file "River's Edge" about a 1981 rape and murder of a 14 year old by her 16 year old unrepentant boyfriend. The incident occurred in a well-off neighborhood and made national headlines when it was learned that the boyfriend bragged about the killing to high school friends and over a period of days took them to the corpse (by the river's edge) and no one reported it to the police. |
The women in San Ho-se have always inspired my penis. :thumbsup
Meta, i thought you lived in LA? |
I am a Silicon Valley born and raised native.
It sucks, it sucks it sucks completely! I beg you not to move there, everything was and still is over priced. The tech sector is fucked and the economy there has gone to shit. Reconsider your choice I urge you vehemently! Wait are you kiddin me!!!?? Women in the Bay area?? No no no they are nasty man I swear to god! First week in LA, the women here at least have nice ass's I swear the ones in the Bay Area are behemian inbreeds. I never knew what I was missing till LA! |
It sucks. If you want to live in the Bay Area, look at the Contra Costa county area (Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill, Danville, San Ramon etc), or if you like the ocean, Pacifica and Half Moon Bay.

Trust me when I say, Bay area women are some of the hottest and nicest women in the country. I have lived in most of the major cities, trust me on this one. Now would I suggest moving to San Jose, probably not. Sausalito would be my reccomendation... or just stay in LA or San Diego. You can't beat the entertainment value of living directly in the main cities San Diego, LA and San Fran. |
Ehhhhh emmm OK Wolf!
I must admit before leaving the Bay I took a stripper with me and yes we are living happily ever after:Graucho |
I think rossiya2 summed it up very well. Grew up in Los Gatos and we called San Jose the 'pit'.
I think it is the first city to have slums and suburbs before a downtown. If rent is free, save up your money to move. Good Luck, :) |
Used to be like that. Now that all the money is coming into the city its pretty fucking nice. Plus your only like 30 minutes to Santa Cruz. Great Place to Live!:thumbsup
|
San Jose is the butt-hole of California
|
Last October I did visit the downtown area. It looked nice but wouldn't spend time there (jmo).
Santa Cruz...okay but I prefer Capitola. :) |
Scotts Valley is very nice too.
|
I found it pretty cool over all. Boring but nice. And Hugely expensive. The house we rented there was $3400 a month for 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. And that was a cheapy.
