im drunk spinning american psycho opf all shit right now.
descending angel and fiend club, then forbidden zone, hunting humans. no matter what i still love this shit hahah '...all the time.' :glugglug |
I hear ya. I got friends who bash the hell out of the later Misfits. I dont give a fuck, I love it. I think Graves has a fantastic voice.

exactly the same here. we've agreed on this before, Graves rocks, and some of these songs like, the previously mentioned are fucking absolutely Misfits rock, somewhat different but no doubt it pleases even the oldest of fans, and the new. That sci-fi horror thing never dies, Zombie has re-ignited it, and bands like Damnation continue to prove that guys with guitars + beer + horror movies = awesome punk rock. and the american psycho may not be walk among us, but i can scream both albums drunk, line for line, word for word. evil never dies. :glugglug |

if i cut off your arms and i cut off your legs would you still love me, anyway? :glugglug |
I just discovered the White Stripes today
:) |
Its just seems to me, or it has always struck me, that post Danzig Misfits just continued on the part of the Misfits that I loved so much. That melodic singalong style almost reminiscent of 50s style, shit whats the fucking word I am looking for.... songs like Saturday Night. You wanna hear some fucked up karaoke... me when Saturday Night or Hell Night come on. I gotta sing that shit at the top of my lungs.
I never understood the haters, it follows perfectly along the lines of where I thought the Misfits were going style wise when Glenn left. In fact, it seemed almost like a logical conclusion to me. I like American Psycho and Famous Mosters as much as the old stuff, in fact I probably listen to it more. Only because I been listening to old Misfits since I was 14. To be honest I get scared that they are gonna crank out a shit release some day. But so far I love everything they have done. Even Cuts from the Crypt. How songs like Fiend without a Face, 1 Million Years BC, and Bruiser were not gonna see the light of day is beyond me. Im a little sickened they got wrapped up in that WWF faggotry for awhile, but so long as they keep doing it right, I wont hide my love. |

same here again. i worked as a volunteer horror make up artist for 6 years at a Haunted House in New Orleans, i love the misfits more than pussy. ive liked it all as well, and i wont be one of those how just denounce something on the fact its not GD... Danzig isnt screaming 'Fiend Club' but fuck, i still wanna scream it. I wish he was, ive seen Danzig more than 10 times, and youre right, that 'sing a long' part of what he is doing is almost gone. Songs like Descending Angel, and Forbidden Zone give me exactly what I want. And i'm not ashamed to admit it. Devils Plaything and the like, yes. The Latest, eh, i rather Famous Monsters over the latest Danzig. heh. |
by chance have you heard 'Chrome Locust?'
an early Todd Youth project? i have a press of it, only 3000 digipaks were made. its not what youd expect, but it might be something you havent heard. want it? :glugglug |
i have cdrs here with todd youth and danzigs drummer playing in my friends apartment drunk one night... funny stuff. I doubt it would even be legal for me to spread that stuff.
long story, but if you really wanna hear it, i got it. hahaha :glugglug |

Hehe, something you two might appreciate. Picked this up the other day, hiding away in a dark and dank corner of a second hand record mart.

this chrome locust is more black sabbath than danzig or misfits, but todd youth is awesome, ive met him, and as i said, ive actually been involved musically with him and the drummer for danzig. hope you dig, if you like sabbath you might like it, just some drunk misfits fans who got a little too into steve albini and sabbath.,..i bet you will, his influences are more outlined here which clearly shows why he was drafted for the current Danzig line up, he knows his metal well.
tracks like 'M.I.A.' and 'Aint No Love' rock, its not for everyone, but cant be denied. Todd Youth sings and plays guitar in this trio, Chrome Locust hasnt released anything since 1999. this was their only release, as i said, i think 3000 were pressed, i have one of the original digipaks. give it a listen. as for electric frankenstein, youll no doubt love it. the last song on this ultra rare ep is 'Queen Wasp,' they dont hide the fact they are huge misfits fans, an awesome cd, that ive rarely ever seen, but i have a press. Its called 'Electric Frankenstein: Monster' im ripping it now.,, just a bunch of drunk misfits fans who started a band, they kick major ass though. and theyve been around for a good decade or more too... id be very confused if you didnt totally dig Electric Frankenstein. Especially these 6 rare tunes. These guys are 30 year old fans. Old school boys who care more about the tunes and the guitasr sound than bitches and videos. its all about the merch and the beer. 'im a rock n roll kamikaze, i gotta do what you want me to.' these guys are all about vomit, vans, and zombie rock. MC5 meets Night Of The Living Dead. If you dont like 'Imperial World' ill be very confused. tracks like 'Used to know' are like Guns and Roses in a way man, its awesome punk rock, in its purest no effects way. i bet my fucking ass you cant listen to Electric Frankensteins 'Queen Wasp' or 'Naked heat' without getting into it. Few have done or could o a better Queen Wasp cover. Its all boots and glory. The guitars are heavy swarms... you'll see. this cd is rare, its only accompanying press is 10" vinyl, which is why my cd is rare. ;) lets see. both are uploaded. enjoy. :glugglug |

heres the chrome locust digipak. |
Shit, I dont even know what to add. Its all exactly as described. The Electric Frankenstein is perfect, exactly what I was talking about. There needs to be more of this campy b movie horror schlock influenced punk rock. There probably is, I just dont know where to look. Isnt Elvis Manson off here running along these lines?
And you werent shittin about the Sabbath influence. I love this kinda shit. My friends refer to this genre as stoner metal, another area I wish I knew more about. I loved when Corrosion of Conformity started dabbling in it, Kyuss does a mean Sabbath on Blues for the Red Sun. I like bands that rip off early Sabbath, HARD. We have a band here in Detroit called Clutch that doesnt hide the love. They actually have a sizeable cult following, its right up this alley. Makes me wanna drink cheap beer, drive fast, and get bad tattoos. Clutch - Pure Rock Fury |
i swear ive heard clutch live.
maybe not, but it surely rocks. :glugglug |

Unfortuantely, that's all i've got of Sabbath. Gonna go and look for some of the earlier albums soon though. |
