Fuck you amerinoc !

Yeah - I was with Amerinoc - and sadly I'm still with them so far.
I am that fucked up guy who struggles for the past few years - drawing cartoon porn for nickels. Mydirtydrawings.com was hacked and it's content ripped and then sold outside for a buck on some file locker sites. In order to adapt to the vast tendency that goes around - I removed all the barriers and showed my stuff to be seen for free. That's quite popular tactic among the artists - and it works: people are coming, because I create stuff on regular basis - some are becoming my patrons, some are paying to draw something for them and I have ads on the site.

People somehow started to acknowledge me and notice my page. I started to have regular visitors and clients. Everything started to look somehow promising.

Until today - when Jetpack told me my site is down. It was down for the entire day. And the support was silent. I wrote them message earlier to hear that they have hardware malfunction. I though that this will be solved quickly and told them they are free to close the ticket. However this lasted the entire day and even more. I wrote them message - asking when my site will be up and running again - and I got this :

Dear Customer:

This morning the server on which your shared web hosting account was located suffered a catastrophic failure of its disk subsystem. Numerous attempts were made to recover the information from the server. Unfortunately all of those attempts failed and all data on this server has been lost.

We have created a new shared web hosting account for you on our new load balanced and redundant web hosting platform. You will need to login to the Account Manager to configure the account and then upload your web site files to put your web sites back online. Please review the information in the Account Manager closely as access and DNS information has changed. If you require any assistance, please contact customer service using the details on the Support page in the Account Manager.

A credit in the amount of one month's service has been issued to your account.

Our new platform utilizes a redundant network-attached storage system so we can assure you that this type of failure is impossible in the future. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

If you have any questions or comments, contact customer service by opening a ticket in the Account Manager at https://secure.amerinoc.com/manage or send email to [email protected] or toll-free telephone at 877-803-8128. All tickets via phone or email will require the user's support token for authentication.

Thank you,
AmeriNOC

So basically Amerinoc are bullshit : through all these years of hosting my site experienced numerous of downs - it was down for hours - and my wall of tickets to them had one and same message: mydirtydrawings.com is down / again and again/.
Then new owners showed up on the horizon.
And most of you ran away from Amerinoc years ago.
I was sitting on my ass - simply because I paid them for 3 years in advance.
Now they are bringing me back to start from scratch !

Well - Amerinoc. You made my day even more miserable. Thank you!

Now GFY - please recommend me a good host - where they accept adult drawings -
24/7 support. My site is not that popular so I don't need a dedicated server. Let's say I'm fresh starter.
I will be using Comic Easel to show my comics , drawings , animations and all the stuff I create - I'm not showing stupid manga stolen/bought from somewhere - I create stuff on my own.

Please tell me what is needed for me to migrate from amerinoc to another server including transferring the domain name without the need to pay amerinoc something more ?!

TheDynasty 10-28-2016 05:05 PM

Bump for you!

klinton 10-28-2016 05:15 PM

its a total joke.
I asked them in previous months frequently id they do backups on their own - they said "yes".

today i lost all my data on their account.

thank god that i had some backups.... to bad that backups were from few months ago... but thank god once again that i didnt worked that much during these months, so to keep everything up it will take just few days or so.... with maybe exception of one domain

its a joke, its a disaster, both for them as a host and for their customers.

i already canceled my account with them and will never come back..after 10 years

klinton 10-28-2016 05:23 PM

you have nothing to migrate from amerinoc :1orglaugh:1orglaugh
they lose all your data......
just change nameservers of your domain to your new host and thats all.
if you registered it with them, just tell them to transfer it away

LatinaCamChat 10-28-2016 05:41 PM

Why in God's name would you use and or stay with amerinoc, why? Ditched them back in around 2006-2007

myleene 10-28-2016 05:45 PM

Contact me on ICQ or Skype with data on your traffic and requirements (I think you use WordPress?).

I may be able to host you free on a dedicated with daily backups for both data and databases.

MrBottomTooth 10-28-2016 06:09 PM

I thought their big move was supposed to prevent downtime and make things super reliable? Lol. What a horrible situation.

We left Amerinoc after finding out support ends at 5 on Friday.
Find a better host.
HostGator is not the answer. Neither is Godaddy.
If Mylene offered, consider it.
I would suggest MojoHost but I think you probably are not ready for that. Truly the Harley-Davidson of hosts.

Gallery-Traffic 10-29-2016 03:12 AM

I'd recommend Certified Hosting

rogueteens 10-29-2016 03:14 AM

Check out one of the advertisers on GFY, M3Server, I moved to them and I'm very happy with them.

j3rkules 10-29-2016 03:23 AM

If you need a reputable hosting, check my signature below. They are over 12 years in this business and I am using them for 8 years now.

klinton 10-29-2016 03:38 AM

amerinoc/phatservers were for like 15 years online, and ive been using them for 10 years..now look what happened :1orglaugh:1orglaugh

its out of my imagination how they could not even do weekly backups of their servers, its unbelievable. Imagine a customer that didnt do any backup and he lost his whole work in one moment

We used Amerinoc from 2000 and now finally moved to NationalNet due to BAD service.

CaptainHowdy 10-29-2016 01:45 PM

Sorry to hear that, but the writing was on the wall with Amerinoc ...

Markul 10-29-2016 01:56 PM

Stop recommending shit like hostgator and certified hosting. He already got burned once.

Dude I remember your site, good stuff.

Nationalnet, lease web, hivelocity are good hosts in my book.

Ruen 10-29-2016 02:51 PM

Moved to M3 from amerinoc and couldn't be happier.

Google Expert 10-29-2016 02:54 PM

I've been saying it here for years: AmeriNoc / Certified Hosting is total shit.

But resident GFY idiots whos most complex web property is a WP blog are always raving about it.

Hell, it's even worse than webair.

Difficult and sad to see your work go to waste, but whatever your host are make sure to backup on a regular basis. When the catastrophe truly hits, you will feel somewhat satisfied.

mavruda 11-03-2016 03:21 AM

Hello Gfy....

After I left my last message here - I didn't came back to check. I went with Host Gator.
I'm with them for 5 days /I bought the host for 36 months for $250/ simply because I wanted to re-launch my site as soon as possible. I know - some of you would say why am I rushing to launch a free-to-see blog ? Why am I so rushing ?!

Well i's simple : this blog is not just a blog, but my art site (it's porn, but yet it's art. I'm not showing someone else's stuff - I am showing my own stuff, commissions, requests - mostly given by other people, clients, patrons ) - all made by me. This site is my independence. This site is me. So...

People are coming, banners are showing , some of the people ask for commissions, other are becoming patrons. All that works fine for me. That's the rush and the main reason I didn't get back here on gfy to read if there any messages. So I bought the host on Halloween day.

Again keep in mind why I was rushing to get the host : I got a lot of purchases for art and drawings during the holidays!
There are clients who love to get credited for what they purchased from me. I'm not that popular , but even the small I earn makes me happy. I don't deal with companies - but with regular guys who read comic books, play games , attend to comic cons dressed as heroes. And I'm cheap AF - like a harbor whore with syphilis. That's why the people come. They are happy to draw their favorite heroes shagging. Or just simply to draw something mainstream.

Do you see any samples of my works ? No ?!?!?! Why ?????! That's because I don't have a damn site !

So that's why I moved to the new host : Host Gator - a fellow artist with very popular site is with them and I decided to go with them too.

AND IT SUCKS ! Issues from the beginning. Their support sucks even more than Amerinoc's. From the second day. The first day I purchased the hosting and left to sleep. The second day I asked to get my domain transferred. Then I wanted to install a plugin that will restore my site from a backup I made. And none of that happened !

Their chat applet is loading for eternity - and when it loads in complete I'm facing incompetent and totally unhelpful people who are responding on my questions with short answers - making me to wait for them for 5-6 minutes between each line !

Issues with transferring the domain, issues with the FTP settings and issues with the WP they have on the automatic installer.
If they don't see the error I see - then there is no error at all - I should call Wordpress because the problem is not on their end.
If they don't see fatal or critical error on the FTP - I probably should call the company who made Filezilla, because the problem is not their own...
Transfering the domain is long process, because on the automatic system it shows e-mail which is not mine , but they say I have to change the browser.
Yesterday I spoke with William - very helpful lad, who was kind and somehow really interested to keep me with them. And he almost did. He helped me with all the issues - gave me links and guided me to fix all that happened. I was happy. And it was 3:00 am. William

This morning - when I woke I figured that William won't be on shift everytime I get stuck. So I asked the support guy who was on shift for host cancellation. He made a ticket and told me that the admins should respond in order to tell me about it....

And I'm reading all of your message right now. Thank you guys !

Please don't ask me : Why you had to rush on going with HG - I already explained this on top.

That I did and basically I didn't turned out well. I suppose for the next host I'm about to pick I will need to do exactly the same but with Host Gator / if they made to transfer my domain with them - a process that took them days - and still didn't made it. But you'll never know.

Yes - I use Wordpress. I did - I got you on skype - and send you request . Waiting for response from your side.
Your offer seems very neat to me and I'd love to discuss the details when you get online/ or accept my request for talk.

Pay it every month till you are 100% sure how it's function properly, then move to yearly payment.

I prefer paying on month-to-month basis for dedicated/VPS, but max. 3 months if it's a reputable host and they give me a nice deal. for cheap shared accounts I prepay 6 months max.

Sly 11-03-2016 08:51 AM

It sounds to me like you are a hard-working guy that values both his business and reputation. A guy like you should not be using a subpar service, you need to be using a service that can actually help you out. A service like $8/mo HG is simply not going to give you the support that you need. You would be much better off with a small VPS that carries good support. It will be more expensive, but you will get the care that you need so that you can focus on your customers.

Here are a few companies with such offers:
