What would happen would depend on when the investigation ended and where Hillary was at that time.
Basically, if they find something bad. Not just making her look bad kind of bad, but actually illegal and serious enough that she could go to jail for it kind of bad here are the two potential outcomes.
1. If she has lost the election (likely that the investigation won't get done before the election), she would just be a regular citizen and she could be arrested, charged, and forced to stand trial like any other person.
2. If she has won the election and has been sworn in as President, then she could get impeached. If she would get impeached or not would depend on a few things including how bad the emails are and who controls the congress. Democrats would be a lot less likely to impeach, but Republicans would not hesitate.Comment

What an unbelievable shift in consciousness of the American people in just a few months. It was not long ago that if you were seen with a Trump sticker on your car you were in fear of being labeled a social pariah. Now there are Trump signs EVERYWHERE and almost nobody has a Hitlery sticker on their car or yard sign because they are afraid of being labeled a pariah.

It is ridiculous to think that they didn't already have this information. The material in question was found on a cell phone that they have had in their possession for awhile now.

"Already, we have seen characterizations that the FBI is 'reopening' an investigation but Comey's words do not match that characterization. We had a year long investigation into this and it was decided there was no wrong doing. There wasn't even a reason to press charges. The reality of this is it is not illegal for the Secretary of State to send classified information via email. The Secretary of State, in the normal course of routine business, sends classified information on a regular basis. There is no law that says the Secretary of State cannot send such information via private server. Or telephone. Or fax. Or smoke signals. It's just not illegal.
New emails isn't going to change a thing.
At the very same time, we haven't bothered to expand the investigation into anyone else. Multiple other Secretaries of State have used the same exact set up - It seems Hillary consulted former Secretary of State Colin Powell and used the same set up he used. Why aren't we investigating anyone else? If the handling of classified information via email is so important to national security, why aren't we investigating anyone else?
If the way our government officials handle classified information via email is so vital to national security, why hasn't our Congress changed the law to ensure it is not legal for classified information to be sent via email?
Ironically, the person leading the charge to investigate this - Jason Chaffetz - hands out business cards with his gmail account on it:

This is nothing more than a witch hunt. Jason Chaffetz has already made it perfectly clear he has years of investigations lined up for Hillary "just because" they can.
