An idea to improve GFY..
 

Please, the next time the US has a presidential election, make a sub-forum for it. It's getting really, REALLY boring now.

Agreed, this is a webmaster forum, not anything political and they only throw hate at each other...

No don't do that, we'll lose Mark Prince and Crockett, which provide the main forum with so much entertainment.

They'll still use the main forum, even if there's a sub-forum.

Wrong, without discussion of US politics, neither will have a reason to visit the main forum.

The crying over the US election starts in a week and will continue until the next election ...

Aside: Certain people are posting about world politics or their local political issue so should we make a sub-forum "Whine about your world here" ?

But its getting daft now, the forum is swamped with posts like "Trump sneezes, that's it, he's racist" or "Clinton falls asleep, proof she's a man", absolutely swamped.

What's worse is it's not only GFY. It's Facebook, it's Twitter, it's any casual conversation with anyone you meet.

Absolutely exhausting.

The world politics concern us all, because we all live in this world. As about the local things like the US elections or a weather in Mongolia should have their own sub forums IMHO.

That would be awesome or someone could write a program to hide threads with Clinton, Trump, Liberal, etc....

Funny how everyone assumes this place will be here in '20.

Am I the only one who thinks it stands a good chance it won't be here?

Subforums were suggested for many things, but admins said no.

I am still waiting (admins said "in the works"...) for my suggestion of filtering threads by prefix (business for example) to be implemented... It is taking couple or so years already, so not sure about any new suggestions being implemented any time soon :)

I think it would be kinda fun to have a GFY chatroom. Something like tinychat or idk. There would be potential for utter chaos, fights, and madness. But hopefully some very interesting, thoughtful discussions could happen too. But with this crowd, who knows lol

We have a slack channel for biz talk :) NO POLITICS allowed there :thumbsup
