Wtf... out of the nearly FIFTY THOUSAND (50,000) articles related to SARS on googles news archive, not to mention all the TV coverage on it --- why hasn't ANYONE in mainstream media asked or suggested the obvious?

Could SARS be man-made? Could it be a 'terrorist attack' ?

I mean wtf, this shit pops up out of the blue during war time & all of a sudden people need calculators to add 2 and 2?

Perhaps it is :winkwink: But I'm pretty safe from HIV/AIDS I think.... This SARS shit is scary though.

#1) There's no evidence to suggest that it is.
#2) There are pre-existant diseases that would sweep faster and be deadlier.
#3) The homeboys aren't claiming credit for this one. You know they would if they could. They don't know what the hell this thing is either.
#4) Suggesting that it's terrorism would be the height of irresponsible journalism, and a total career burner. Start a War of the Worlds panic? Bad move.

I think idiocy is a disease that spreads far quicker and is deadly in most cases too...

I guess I'm an idioit then, because I do think its very strange timing for a new possible pandemic disease to surface.

It is all scary though. I guess we like to hope things are naturally occurring because then we assume they'll be easier to treat/cure. If stuff is engineered.. man.. trouble. But as much as the media likes to fish around for fear and scandal, it's surprising that this hasn't been mentioend.

In America, the flu of 1918 was blamed by many on the Germans. One popular rumor at the time was that the flu "germs" were added to Bayer aspirin.

There were many other such theories. One was even published on the front of the Philadelphia Enquirer.
