Domain Registry of America
http://www.droa.com/ - who the hell are these people? They sent me a letter from a London address.
Why are they trying to get me to renew my domain name (just one for some reason) with them? At a bargain price of $25 a year?? |
Looks like a very shady operation to me... there are many operations like this going around - I use to get phone calls from one company asking me to transfer my domain names to them... stick with brandname registrars -- I suggest you check out Directnic - $15 domain names.:thumbsup

I've been using powerpipe for a while now with little hassle - it just seems very shady that DRoA have contacted me nearly 3 months before this one domain (not even a good name) is due to expire and want to charge me 4 times as much as powerpipe :1orglaugh

there's been some scams going around like that, i read something online a while back about it.
it's fucked up, just stay with your current provider. they're probably trying to get you to switch to their service at a lot higher price :2 cents: |
some of these guys make it look really important (like it comes from gov't), but it's not.

The London address they provided is now on my 'Places to visit when I'm pissed off' list :glugglug
