mmm my bio teacher said that if we over populate, there will always be something to keep us in check if we didn't keep ourselves in check...war, plagues and whatnot...(AIDS)

I think AIDS, conflicts, various diseases are just natures way of dealing with over population. Also Darwins Theory would fit with that. (edit: duh...)

See AIDS, I REALLY believe they could have gotten a cure for that, problem is there is NO money in making a CURE for AIDS.
Medicine for keeping it in check though, now there is some pretty damn good money.
And most of the people hit by it are in Africa anyways, so who cares, right? Look at Rwanda, that will give you an idea how much a human life in Africa is worth... A PRIME example of double standards, or racism if you like, by the international community...

wrong, already a lot of money have been spent in researches for the aids cure. Aids doesn't hit only poor people you know and the labs do a killing by selling the drugs for aids.

There are things you cant treat no matter what. There are hundreds fatal diseases you never heard of, the difference is that they don't spread easily.

If sars starts spreading like crazy....

SARS is probably a mutation of the common cold, seen it on the discovery channel once about the next plague could be a mutation of the common cold which could wipe out millions of people. :2 cents:
