Reputable server management service?

I'm not going to pay $350+/month for a fully managed server that I can get for about $100/month unmanaged from OVH (or elsewhere) and hiring someone for about $50/month to manage it.

Anyone can recommend a reputable server management service?

I'm consindering https://www.platinumservermanagement.com/

It seems they can do everything I need for $29/month.

Anyone use them or can recommend some other reliable server management service?

Thanks guys.

They should do the job.

dude, I know they are good, but thing is-I can get the same for $150/month by buying an unmanaged server somewhere+paying a server managenent service that I would get from Mojo for $400+/month :winkwink:

True, you have to decide what is best for your business. It's not going to be the same level of support or monitoring. It also won't be comparable with network quality. If you want an unmanaged server from MojoHost and to purchase support elsewhere, we can quote that, too. If you don't want backups, we can also quote without those. We aren't going to offer the same rate as OVH, nobody will. Having said all of that, there are more options on pricing with us than most are aware when you simply start to unbundle and remove services. Feel free to email myself or Scott for a quote. brad@ or scott@ Mojohost.com.

Sincerely,

Brad

i use ovh, and i love the system they have in place, the ordering, the ordering of ips how its all automated, everything in the panel with all the servers, prob the best move i made moving to ovh, but its for people who can manage their own stuff.

29 a month is actually pretty cheap for management services.

Ferus 10-21-2016 10:49 AM

$350 gets you two hours of managed service here :)

I have o dedi at OVH ($100) and for server management I'm using PlatinumServers ($29). Until now they solved every problem I had in reasonable time.

Brad Mitchell 10-23-2016 09:19 AM

Gigapros.com hosts their site on Liquidweb and is a reseller of OVH and a few other hosts. In other words, they don't own anything. Just thought you'd like to know.

Interesting....very cheap then if they are only reselling.

Anyway, I went to your mojohost.com, but was kinda perplexed.
Pricing for 3 different services but no further info.

For me personally, i want to see specs and pricing etc, without having to fill out an enquiry form. If i were surfing around looking for places to host. I would just move on to the next one.
Just my 2 cents. Not a criticism.

Soyoustart.com is owned by OVH and a bit cheaper. That being said, be careful of any $30/mo server management company. You should be looking to pay $100-150 if you want anyone reasonably skilled. For $30 you are going to get beginners that are googling everything you need done. If you ask them to compile ffmpeg, they'll tell you that it's not part of the managed service etc.

I don't disagree. The site has very much just been a place-holder for most of history since most of what we sell is custom configuration. The next version of the web site will have substantially more information and online ordering of a greater variety of services.

Don't waste your time.

There's no evidence 3xmedia has any website.

Have a look at 3xmedia's gfy profile - https://gfy.com/members/3xmedia/
