We had to do an emergency landing in Gander on sept 11th, I was flying to Dallas from London.
Slept in a church there for 3 days.
Small city with like a couple thousand citizens went REALLY out of their way to accomodate us, approx 10k passengers. I am not religious, but I really commend the good-heartedness (is that a word??) of those people in that church. I had a great time up there, in spite of the circumstances.
