Running more than one icq instance at ones
 

I used to have this software micq or someting which let me do it...
Don't have it anymore and i don't think that it's working for the new icq vesrions.

How can i run more than one icq instance at ones ?

Well i thought about it, but i rather run two icq instance instead of one icq and one trilian.

Never heard about this software... is it any good and reliable?

I don't know for sure about Trillian, but the Mac OS X equivalent, Proteus, can do multiple instances of the same chat network. I have two of each running all the time.

You do realize that it is not a problem having a number of dialog boxes open at the same time, with ICQ.

As far as Trillian, I installed it - and then I uninstalled it about 10 minutes later.

set a custom port to use on one of the installations, maybe 5092 instead of 5091 perhaps..?

Trillian rocks! the only reason I don't use it is that it doesn't import my icq contact list from icq servers...

Trillians great once its all setup, just gotta find a good skin for it and get all your contacts from icq added manually.. other than that its no hassle :)

You can add multiple ICQ numbers to trillian at once, they all have to currently share a master contact list but you can be logged in as 10 different profiles at once. Been using Trillian for a long time now, it's great.
