Google Adwords...worth the bother?
 

What do you think about adwords? I have a few test campaigns running now...anyone have any good experience and/or tips for this?

Adwords been very very good to me. :Graucho

But some of my friends have gone bust with it.

So, the impression I've gathered so far (not just from GFY) is that it's hit or miss: you basically have to be smart enough to figure it out yourself...if you can, you are set if not...well...:glugglug

Yep. Test test test. Then if you see it working, increase your daily cap, and let the fucker fly on all the keywords you see doing well.

It's still a shot in the dark no matter what. Gotta just send to something that you know converts like a mutha.

i make a lousy $300 every ten days with google adwords.
i think the keywords are way overpriced,some are over a dollar/click.

But you're making a profit. That's better than a lot of people have experienced. $300 you wouldn't have otherwise had is better than $0 for not even trying.

For the adult bussines i get better results with sex.com traffic for sure as the keywords are cheaper and the traffic is more targeted. But i bet also that rare niches get good profit from google addwords.

For non adult bussines it's really great if you know how to use it and you promote the right thing, last month i spent 1.8k on google addwords to get 5.5k but this is not reffering to porn so they keywords are cheap and there were only 5 bidders.

As some said, just try it, but the key is on what you promote, the keywords you choose to bid at and the money you are ready to invest on it. for example, i have seen ppl promoting their tgps and bidding for overused and expensive keywords like "porn". That is really stupid, as you're paying a fortune for a general keyword to promote a tgp that isn't a money maker. Then they claim that to buy SE traffic don't worth the investment...

Good thing but you need some SEO Guru to get an immediate profit...

Carefully figure out the k-word. Very carefully. Make it as uniqe as you can. It'll save your money.

It's a crap shoot. You have to be careful not to spend too much money.

My problem is that the clicks they charged me for didn't always register in my site stats.

Kinda made me suspicious.
