    More 'selfie generation' stupidity

    Which now leaves two kids without a mother...




    This is the final smiling selfie taken by a mother-of two just moments before she crashed her bike and was fatally injured just yards from her home.
    Carmen Greenway, 41, took this happy picture of herself and her mother in the background as they rode back from the pub where they had been celebrating a family occasion.
    But moment later, just 100 yards from her west London home, Mrs Greenway was flung from the saddle and cracked her skull as her mother, Sherry Bennett, watched on in horror


    She was rushed to hospital in Paddington, central London, but died six days later from cardiac arrest, leaving the family devastated.
    Her husband, Rufus Greenway, 47, said his wife regularly rode back from the pub after a few drinks and knew the route she was riding with her mother well.
    He described her as 'a very competent cyclist' but believes she was 'overconfident' and said she may have had one hand on the handlebar after taking the photo.
    He said his wife would 'still be alive today' if she had been wearing a helmet and is now calling on the government to make it a legal requirement on Britain's roads

    Yeah blame the government for an idiot parent who:
    A. Wasn't wearing a helmet whilst riding a bike.
    B. Was using a cell fone to take a 'selfie' whilst riding a bike.
    C. Was under the influence of alcohol whilst riding a bike.


    Gotta feel sorry for the kids in this incredibly stupid and sad story...

                              Ps: recently I took my first selfie of my life but that was in a situation where noone was raound to take a picture and with a person who I would not see again (so not possible to wait an hour, a day or whatever till someone snaps a picture of us).

                              1 selfie in all the time since selfies were invented VS 100000s of selfies, lol

                                              Her own husband pointed to the fact she would still be alive if she was forced to wear a helmet so why didn't he force her to wear one if he knew his wife was out drinking and driving her bike home? Seems to me he is venting his anger in the wrong direction, blaming the Government for not enforcing such laws but it's very easy to break if the individuals choose not to, such as in this case.

                                              Sad case, two kids now grow up without their mother who, in hindsight did a very silly thing but we are all capable of stupid shit. The difference between our stupid shit and hers, is we're still alive and it doesn't seem so stupid then to us. She died so now everyone is saying she was a dumb fuck to take a selfie. Either way, a woman is dead, a guy lost his wife and two kids lost their mother. Not much more needs to be said really.

                                                      Not selfies but we recently had a local fireworks display. It was really popular with something like 10,000 people attending.
                                                      I had to go and get some cash while the display was going on and I was disgusted to see so many people filming the display.
                                                      Like half the crowd stood there holding the camera phone up to the sky.

                                                      I went past a convertible and there was this guy and wife both filming the same fucking thing on 2 phones.

                                                      I just shook my head in dismay and felt sorry for the world.

                                                                                                      I remember being at Niagra falls a few months ago and i swear she basically spent so much time on her fone posting pics and updating her status i'd be amazed if she even spent 1min taking in the beauty of the Falls themselves. What a waste of time and money...
