70c!! holy cow! my 2000+ runs at 45-50c with a crappy no-name aircooler, up to maybe 55c if the side cover is on.

granted, if it's pre-xp series, it puts out more heat, but i'm pretty sure the xp's "danger level" is 70c... yikes!

better get yosef an h2o cooler! OC that bitch!

www.xoxide.com

They sell some pretty 'unadvanced' watercooling kits [koolance] for you people who would rather not touch the inside of your box.

iroc409 04-02-2003 09:34 PM

fuck koolance :winkwink:

Lane 04-02-2003 09:41 PM

i was actually thinking about getting a koolance case

is it really really silent?

FlyingIguana 04-02-2003 09:45 PM

no, not silent. fans right on top of the case.

if your interest is only in silence, and you are not interested in OCing the rig, get the Lian-Li PC-6070. components still should stay very cool, but the case has sound insulation. very quiet, and it looks VERY cool. lian-li and a couple reviews tout it as silent. it looks really, really sweet. aluminum, of course, and plenty of space for stuff.

you can still OC or WC the lian-li case, but that's best left up to a custom job. if you're into that sort of thing :winkwink:
