go to www.hawgscash.com/ae There are hosted galleries there, but you don't have to use them. We just uploaded them last week and the program was doing just fine without them!

I would like to know as well. The new set of hosted galleries for Blacks on Blondes practically killed that program.

Martin... ICQ me. We have 4 different programs here. Not all of them have hosted galleries. I need a better idea of what you want to see what suits you best.

I think his problem is not that other sites MAKE him use hosted galleries, but that they KILL the program if others use them.

The problem is that the TGP owners just load up on links to hosted galleries ... The guys who make galleries can't get listed for those programs.

Why don't you set up your own paysite?

Maybe I misunderstood...I was just saying he could just not use the linking codes for the hosted galleries, but still use the linking codes to all the other goodies on that program. :helpme There are NON hosted galleries there as well.

I already use GigaCash and ever since they started doing the hosted gallery thing the program now sucks.. That's why I need a new sponsor that does not use hosted galleries..

My position is that hosted galleries are great, as long as you don't use too damn many photos. I have a lot of galleries, but intentionally use a very limited number of sets. I'm the last person who wants my content totally ruined for everyone.

What's so hard to understand.. I work in the TGP business.. With every sponsor out there now coping Nasty Dollars and making hosted galleries very few TGP's are willing to post my galleries because they have the same sponsor listed.. Why would they
want to compete with me? Good for TGP webmaster Bad for TGP submitter..

I see where your coming from. But free tgp submissions will be a thing of the past.

Well I think you are talking about the big proggies. Yes, lotsa big sposnors offering freehosted galleries but as usual their conversion sucks with the same fucking cookie cutter sites no matter how many hosted galleries they produce everyday. I add and ditch hosted galleries just about every week and I don't give a flying f if you submit a gallery promoting a sponsor I dicthed last week :winkwink: So free hosted galleries are not the prob think the prob is all those trading TGPs that can't make any money off it try to sell submitters gallery spots. Yet because they want to sell them doesn't mean they are actually being able to sell them, not to any webmasters with a little bit of brains anyway. But to prove a point they will either list their own galleries top of the list or some non-converting hosted galleries.. yea get the point? I'll sell you my topspot I know it doesn't convert for shit with my crappy traffic but you don't know that do you? :Graucho

Why they won't post BOB gallery: Cos BOB is already saturated as is? Cos TGPs already stopped accepting BOB pic galleries few years ago cos of low quality? Cos everytime I tried to submit a brand new BOB movie gallery to majors last year I'd got "overused content" meaning someone already beat me to it? :1orglaugh BOB hosted gallery is simply a bad example here guys :winkwink:

It's a valid example. I know quite a few guys who have had sales go down after the last series of galleries was made available.

:helpme I replaced few hundred of my own BOB galleries with their hosted galleries not that it's making any diff in # of sign-ups (which was already pretty bad) but just helping me bring my bw bill down a bit :glugglug

Most of you posting on this thread just don't get it.
We're gallery builders, we build and submit galleries for a living. If you offer hosted galleries, then why would a TGP owner list our gallery and compete with himself for signups to the same program? So to say "we have them but you don't have to use them" or "just use our non hosted galleries" is totally missing the point.

I know they're good for TGP owners, its like found money, even if they only get 1 join a month that's money they didn't have before, and one less listing they have to worry about cheating them.
But I really wonder if they're good for the paysite owners who offer them? The 2 that I've talked to about them told me they didn't convert very well, just used a bunch of bandwidth. But with every TGP using them, and then those same TGP's trading traffic with each other, oversaturation and staleness was inevitable.
