I wonder if they're trying to create a clothing line

Medellin is more superficial than most States. In the States you have a large mixture of lower class people dressing up, lower class people being bummy, upper class people dressing up, and upper class people being bummy. The "style" of upper class people dressing down in Medellin is almost unheard of. People here, ignorant fucks that they are, think that if you're not nice and tidy, wearing nice clothes, you must be really poor. Ain't no flipflops, shorts, tshirts being taken seriously maybe until recently (big influx of gringos).

You'd have to be one of the biggest, richest gangsters in the world to get away with wearing sweaters that look like they came out of Paul Markham's closet in the 80s.

yuu.design 09-16-2016 08:13 AM

Yes, very ignorant to think that it is nice to dress nice and it is stupid to dress like a bum (unless you are actually that).

I remember my buddy told me, he recently went to India. It is super poor but, he said, all people were very tidy - shirts and pants style.
But surely - being middle class or rich and dressing bummy is "cool", right?

Adnium_Ivana 09-16-2016 08:43 AM

Lol this reminds me of Drake a few years back - he got shit for his preppy clothes all the time

Bosnia and the Balkans in general are like this too. This isn't surprising at all, as it's usually the poorer, developing nations that tend to be more about 'proving' something with their image. It's about saving face essentially - so what if you can't afford to eat as long as you have nice, clean pressed fashionable clothes so you at least don't look poor. The rich from the developing nations tend to set this trend for the lower classes.

Wheras in western developed countries like US and Canada, who gives a fuck? A rich person knows he is rich and has nothing to prove, his plastic does the talking for him in all the right places.

mineistaken 09-16-2016 08:54 AM

That is correct, still no excuse to dress like a bum instead of just simple clean and tidy clothes.

BigFurry 09-16-2016 08:59 AM

Love the sweaters :)

PiracyPitbull 09-16-2016 11:29 AM

Pablo Escobar would like to see you in his office. Don't expect to make it home for dinner, faggot.

You would know more than I would I think but I was just in Medellin and a lot of people look like they bought their clothes at a flea market. Overweight girls wear tiny shirts that don't cover much, they let the flab hang out and most girls wear cheap pattern dye denim jeans. You can tell professional people a mile off tho, they either wear shirts and trousers or jeans with polo shirts and nicer shoes.

ReggieDurango 09-20-2016 01:20 PM

Escabar really wore those sweaters !

romeo22 09-20-2016 01:35 PM
