Harpers Ferry Middle School Pageant.

She talked us into being part of the 42nd annual Miss Harpers Ferry. So we said ok. She brought home all the paperwork, I filled them out and in return I received a slip for donation.

We personally are not supposed to pay any money except the fee to her into the pageant (which we did). But the board encourages the girls and expecially the parents!! to find sponsors.

You can donate from $ 1.00 to ?? amount.

I would like to thank some of you who have already donated some money for my daughters pageant and will keep all benefactors informed at the outcome

Given the fact that it is April 1st, it's hard to tell truth from fiction....but.....

I think people are being a little harsh. The girl is 13. She's not done up in too much make-up. She's not dressed slutty. In contrast most of the pagents that they talk about on TV show girls under 10 with a ton of makeup and highly sexualized.

In all fairness, this pagent seems to be harmless.

I have a preteen daughter and there is no way I would post her picture on the internet. Just my personal preference and all. If its her that wants to participate I wish you the best of luck but if you're one of those freaky pageant/cheerleader Patsy Ramsey type moms then I pity the girl. As long as she makes her own choices good for her. But I still would not allow my daughter's picture on the internet for any reason. I did not even sign the permission form for her school to use her picture or her name/address on the internet. There are way too many pedophiles in the world for this and it just helps to take a few extra precautions.
