How many of you plan to piss on Paypal's new regulations and continue using them?
I'm amazed how many people I've seen who plan to keep using them even though they're in direct violation. Paypal has already demonstrated on several occasions that they aren't exactly playing for the team, why would you want to take a risk in seeing what they'll do when you're in violation?
Boggles my mind. |
Nobody gunna own up to this in public? :1orglaugh

I am still using them. Haven't heard shit from them, even about Visa. So what's going on?

i must of missed something whats going on

What exactly are you risking? You could save enough fees in a month to cover whatever they lock in your account. And why not just withdraw money every time a payment comes in? Not like it isn't free.
And for all the business to business people, it may be a hassle but you could still take paypal if you keep it off your site. When you get an order in just go into your paypal account and request the money from the buyer. Put "content we discussed" or something similar in the field or an order number. I wouldn't hesitate to keep using them if that is all I used my account for. |
Its not until May 13, I thought

Naturally, the largest area of concern regards the sale of adult-oriented items. EBay's restrictions against selling material for mature audiences is relatively lax, essentially requiring only that it be segregated in the proper category on the site. PayPal, however, now completely prohibits the use of funds to purchase any adult items -- unless that transaction is completed on eBay.
(PayPal makes exceptions for only a few odd items, allowing the purchase of postcards containing subjects who are "topless, scantily clothed or in mildly suggestive poses," but that do "not dhahahahat male or female genitalia (frontal nudity below the waist) or strong sexual content." Also allowed are "food items in the shape of genitalia.") The new restrictions on adult merchandise go into effect May 12. " |
If PayPal will only allow you to process adult goods if you go through eBay.... is that via eBay auction ONLY or can people set up an eBay store with a fixed price and sell things under mature audiences?
