Paxum - No longer able to withdraw by check WTF?!

I tried withdrawing my paxum balance by check the same way I always have done for the past years and I got this error message: "For the moment we can not send checks in the desired currency to your country." (EU country) That's retarded.

3xmedia 09-05-2016 06:11 AM

most won't care... people use Paxum to not have to use fucking checks.

The 20th century called. It wants its payment option back.

Bryan G 09-05-2016 06:50 AM

I use the check option from time to time. Because I am a cheap bastard and not going to pay $50 for a wire when I need to transfer funds less than 2k or so to my biz account.

GirlsOnYou 09-05-2016 06:56 AM

Yes exactly for that reason Bryan.

Only withdrawing via ATM ($2 fee).

That's a good option for individuals, but they don't issue credit cards under the company name.

BigFurry 09-05-2016 07:17 AM

My issue is that the SEPA EFT withdrawals have a pretty low limit, so if you want to withdraw more, you have to do it in multiple transactions.

Any chance to change that Ruth?

what currency did you try?

My problem with WIRE aren't the fees, but the currency conversion rates. If your bank account is in EUR then you first need to convert (not sure why) USD to EUR at Paxum at some horrible exchange rates, so you have to calculate not only with the wire fee, but with the extra loss of money during conversion, and it does adds up!

That's true, the Paxum exchange rates are horrible.

The Paxum exchange rates are ridiculous and should be avoided at (almost) any costs. It is a major disadvantage for the user to exchange any currency inside the Paxum system. Get an American bank account and avoid any such exchanges!
