My wife has one with those specs and it works fine. What did you plan to run on it?

whats your budget? if you want a very nice and lightweight laptop, the new hp 13" spectre is very nice, from power on to windows 10 login, is about 3 seconds.

Should be great for that. The HP fris posted looks pretty sweet though, i7 would be nice.

Sweet? A pet hamster is sweet. :winkwink: The i7 looks good but would ibe a lot better if you choose the 500 GB SSD option. Actually I'm wondering where can I get this in Malaysia.

I don't know if this is the same one, but I get things from this website often.

With only a 1-200$ difference I would go for that i7 HP :)

they want like 1600 for that here in canada unfortunately.

there is an i7 asus for 1300..not a huge fan of hp.

but can anyone else chime in on the asus 305 with the .9 ghz processor?

_Richard_ 09-09-2016 05:16 AM

that price is kinda nuts

i got an asus 2.6 ghz i7 with 16gb ram and generic HDD.. already had an ssd so dropped that in.. i think it was something like 1200-1500 (plus ssd which i think was $150-250 or something)

not sure if i am missing something

I have a HP with an i7 and hate it.

only thing i dont like about the spectre is the backlit keyboard, its not very bright like the macbook is.

if you plan on using it in the dark and make a lot of spelling mistakes, you are in for a rough ride.

0.9 GHz sounds pissweak until you read the specs and it mentions "Turbo up to 2.2GHz"

I guess for a battery powered device, the lower number sounds better...
