If Sadam is dead, there is no reason for the war to continue.

It could be that he already got killed on the first night of the attack.
The few times he gave a so called "live speech" he never mentioned the POWs, never talked about the apache being "shut down" by a few sand farmers.
Never mentioned the drone they shot down or anything else he could refer to to prove he was still alive.
I bet they have a 100 pre-made videos of him talking nonesense.
