    Bounce Rate and SEO

If your bounce rate is high from social media sites, does that count towards google's bounce rate? I would assume the answer is NO, considering the traffic source is not from google. Correct?

If you use Google Analytics Google knows.
If the person referred used Google DNS Google could know if they deduce from that data.

                To answer you specifically.

A well known mainstream SEO company tested this. They sent traffic from a Twitter account and found that Google tracked the bounce rate and engagement of users overall.

They also found that Twitter hashtags worked like traditional anchors to influence what Google should associate a linked page with.
