2017 Iphone

Apple's 2017 iPhone model could feature a curved screen - just like the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge - Mirror Online

http://i3.mirror.co.uk/incoming/arti...80283a56_o.jpg

Apple will release an iPhone with a curved organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display, similar to Samsung?s Galaxy S7 Edge model, it has been reported.

The Californian company will launch three models in 2017; one sized at 4.7-inches and two measuring 5.5-inches - one of which will sport a display which curves down over its sides, according to the Nikkei Asian Review .

The other two devices will have regular flat screens like past iPhone models, the source added.

This is not the first time a curved iPhone has been rumoured. Artist Martin Hajek created these concept images ahead of the iPhone 6 launch, based on similar rumours at the time.

Apple recently sold its one billionth iPhone, but has struggled in recent months as the company?s iPhone sales - which account for around two-thirds of the company?s overall sales - have fallen.

In July it announced sales of its smartphone were down 15% during its third financial quarter, and forecast they would fall again during the fourth.

All the smart phones today are ALL EXACTLY THE SAME.

People are simply morons standing in line and buying this year's new phone because it's either 1/16" wider... or 1/8" slimmer or has a 2/5" bigger screen... or a new smaller screen...

HELLO SHEEP, IT'S ALL THE SAME FUCKING PHONE!!!!!

In 100 years from now, newer generations will look back at us and think HOW FUCKING STUPID WE ALL ARE.

MiamiBoyz 08-24-2016 03:34 AM

Apple died with Jobs...it's just not totally apparent yet. Soon...very soon...

ContentPimp 08-24-2016 03:43 AM

Samsung would just definitely overlap it the next minute it is released! :1orglaugh

Barry-xlovecam 08-24-2016 03:46 AM

I have an LG Flex with a curved screen for over 1 year already.
Apple is a mee too company now?
The phone contour shape is nice BTW.

Most of us aren't that stupid... the need for bold green text :helpme

All phones have a slight difference & everyone's a different preference.

@ OP interesting to see Apply followed Samsung's Edge, proving that was the biggest change on the 2016 models. The 2015 was the waterproof from Sony :2 cents:

Plus those morons will sell those new phones over asking price on local ads and ebay and trying to make $150-300 profit :1orglaugh

I couldn't agree more. All of the phones are the same, do the same thing, and none of them do anything better than any other phone. They even look the same being as we just put them all in cases.

I bought a new case and a new battery, removed some apps, changed my wallpaper, and I feel like I have a brand new phone.

pimpmaster9000 08-24-2016 09:36 AM

oh my god its so different to the last 100 models!!!!! apple designers must be working night and day coming up with these designs...I hope they dont want over 3000$ for this super improved phone thats exactly the same as all the rest! cant fucking wait! :1orglaugh:1orglaugh

Hi Rochard,

I disagree - all smart phones are not the same. Each new model and each new generation brings faster chips, longer battery life, better range, and many other new features. Plus, older phones, just like computers, start to slow down as the operating systems start to pile on more and more features too, sucking up ever-more CPU time.

I've had my iPhone 5 since it came out years ago. I like it still, but I'm aching to buy a new one because it's now sluggish, won't run Apple Pay (too old), and has a screen that's a little too small for my giant hands and aging eyeballs. I would buy a 6 or 6+, but don't want to do that because the 7's are just around the corner.

I thought the 7's are coming out this fall but if its only next year, then what I may do is look at a Samsung Galaxy (7?) instead. What I want to do though is make sure that it runs everything I currently run on my iPhone (especially itunes) before I make the plunge.

How old is your phone? If its more than a few years, go check out the new ones. They're sweet!

I dropped my Iphone has a crack down the screen I was going to go ahead and just get it replaced since I have insurance but the iPhone7 is right around the corner so I'm going to rock the scratches until then :thumbsup

Great Post BTW!

DrJsn 08-24-2016 11:40 AM

That's like saying the new truck that came out is the same as all the others cuz its a truck. They all do the same thing, look the same and serve the same purpose so anyone who buys a new one is a moron.

Adnium_Ivana 08-24-2016 11:41 AM

Apple have been doing this or a while now - catching up/copying Samsung. What Apple does better than Samsung is branding and marketing but as an above user said they're all 98% the same. Still i do like the latest Iphone's camera better than my private Samsung phone

That's just it - I have checked out the new phones. And they are nice. Just as nice as mine. Once you put it in a case, it looks exactly like mine. And they all do the exact same thing my phone does too - phone calls, text, video chat, pictures, surfing; They all run the same apps. I have yet to find something my phone cannot do.

Like I said.... I removed a few apps, got a new battery and.... It's just like a new phone.

Why spend $700 or more on a new phone when all I needed was a new case and a new battery.

new phone's been released and preordered by my friend. Seems to not look like the samsung at all, but similar to the 6 with up to 256gb storage & a better camera than the 6.

I ordered mine today. No phone beats an iPhone IMHO.

iPhone is too overrated for me, but it's funny to watch this hysteria around new model every year :thumbsup

As said, my friend collects his next week as he's also pre ordered. Looking to pay the 0% over the next 2yr with apple care, just under a grand to pay :thumbsup

Looks good with beats speaker, fast processor, amazing low lighting camera & the water proof probably will work better than Sony :2 cents:

ErectMedia 09-09-2016 01:49 PM

Have the 6 128 GB Gold currently
Pre-ordered the 7 Plus 256 GB in da glossy black at 2 am last night

woj 09-09-2016 01:57 PM

1334-by-750-pixel resolution... that's some cutting edge shit there... I thought they stopped making phones with < 1920x1080 resolution like 5 years ago... even $29.99 prepaid walmart phones are >= 1920x1080 now a days... :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

I tried to get the Jet Black 7+ at midnight last night and it was sold out right away. This is the first time in three years that I have not gotten a launch day phone. The pre-order shipping date is now November and it will be much faster to get one in store.

And as aside, I have also had many Android phones and the thing about them is that they are dead objects as soon as you buy them as they are never updated.

Also OS lag that drive me nuts: The Note 7 Still Delivers Embarrassing Real-World Performance

Anyways enjoy your phones.

romeo22 09-10-2016 12:54 PM

its trend that new phones keep getting on market so they make huge money of it

TheDynasty 09-10-2016 12:58 PM

I don't think i'm going to upgrade now not looking forward to the "AirPods"

Whats the big deal with curved screen edges? By the time you put a case on it, you kind of defeat the curvature of the screen edges anyway, right?

Yes, it's very cool. Just like the early days of computing when intel would release a new cpu or other hardware advance. Sure there are still computers running DOS and have a 486 processor and that might be perfect for your grandfather.

Apple is exciting because like it or not smart phones are the new hybrid device that are constantly improving and those who enjoy and get excited about this are enjoying the advances in tech.

You want to talk about boring...how about computers these. Now there is an area with very little gain for upgrading unless you have very old hardware. VR will change all that as the requirements on hardware will be more than most have in their computers.

Have a nice day and fuck off! :pimp

Not everyone uses cases. I never have. I appreciate the design of the device.

candyflip 09-12-2016 01:18 PM

I'm on whatever plan Verizon has that lets me get a new phone every year. It's not subsidized, so I pay like $42 a month for a 128gb iPhone 6S. For the same price, this year I can get an iPhone Plus with the same storage for the same cost.

If I keep paying on the phone I have now, this it's worth even less this time next year. I'm fine with leasing or financing or whatever they call it. It's all a business expense come tax time.

Thank you for pointing out that besides taking advantage of a new phone with improved battery life, improved camera, and generally upgraded in every way that it can be deducted as a business expense! :pimp

I am getting the iPhone 7 (not plus) and it shipped today so I should have it in my sweaty hands Wednesday. I will post some photos for haters I criticize! :thumbsup

I am thinking the same thing.

Then again, once you put a case on it, all of the phones look the same. If they all look the same and do the same things..... Why bother?

mineistaken 09-12-2016 03:15 PM

And of course they will present it as if they were the ones that were the first to make curved screen. Just like they did with lots opf various existing features during most of their presentations. Brilliant lying marketing :)
