Accept adult payments easily with this Paypal clone... Stormpay!

Wow cool you can withdrawl to a bank account or to their debit card or get a check in the mail for a $2 fee... Sweet! And they even process adult!

"At last, you have found an online payment processor that will not ?freeze? or suspend your account for activities such as MLM, Income Opps., adult business. We will however suspend any account that is found to be involved in any fraudulent or malicious activity, including impersonating a StormPay representative or attempting to gain other StormPay users passwords. Any decision made by StormPay, its officers, or representatives will be final."

They even have a multilevel affiliate program! Sign up under me!

Machete_ 03-31-2003 03:17 PM

So now you get 5% of $0 "Woohoo I'm excited!" :winkwink: :321GFY

TheJimmy 03-31-2003 03:18 PM

thanks homie!

I just got 2k in a biz paypal account put on hold until those fucking Nazi's get to put their tatoo on my ass....

fuck paypal is my thought of the day....

TheFLY 03-31-2003 03:21 PM

Ok here's the lowdown -- it looks like a pretty cool system...

Stormpay takes out about 5% out of each transaction as a fee... if you referred the affiliate, you get 2.5% of that 5%... So if a downline affiliate takes in $10000, that's $250 in fees for them, or a stinkin' $6.25 profit for you... But considering this thing has 6 levels of referrals -- and it's still early -- and it's still possible that ARS could sign up under you (hehe) and you could live large like me :) So six levels deep that's like 2.5x6 so they only give affiliates a stinkin' 15% total if all 6 levels are paid out... anyway I think it's a great idea and who cares about the MLM stuff as long as it processes adult... I'll post and let u know how it works and if the surfers actually give their CC info for this Stormpay stuff...

Where is Kimmykim to say "this sounds too good to be true"?

The voice of reason.

by the way - I dont think PAYPAL fucked us, but the people that used Paypal to fuck other people - THEY fucked us.
If everybody ran by the rules, they would still be in our business

- just my :2 cents:

I have no problem with that sentiment until they decide to take the easy way out and withhold my few K until I give them blood samples...

I would think the same if they did that to me :( But I have always been happy with them

I've heard some bad things about stormpay - check out this thread; but they're still a new company - maybe they'll get their shit together soon.
Alternative to Paypal

I had a customer try to pay me through StormPay after I signed up for an account. His experience left me very leery of using StormPay as an alternative.

(this email was after PartyKey turned down his transaction as fraudulent)

"PAm. Storm PAy is even screwier. It jumps from saying you must deposit a minimum of $10.00, to saying deposits are made in $10 increments. I tell it 20, thinking $20, now it has billed $200.00. So tomorrow, when I am in the mood for this, I will be contactying Storm Pay for a withdrawal of at least $180.00."

He didn't give up, though, and went back.

"I have deposited money into Storm PAy - now the bastards say there is no money on account. This is getting screwier by the mouse click"

I felt really bad; the guy was trying to pay me ten lousy bucks and was being given the runaround big time

badmunchkin 03-31-2003 03:51 PM

If you don't want to dig through the whole thread, here's one specific review:

Well, I had one customer use Storm Pay tonight, and I have to say the results are less than thrilling.

This guy is not some newbie -- he knows his way around computers, but is so frustrated by StormPay he's ready to just send ten bucks cash

Here is his email:

"PAm. Storm PAy is even screwier. It jumps from saying you must deposit a minimum of $10.00, to saying deposits are made in $10 increments. I tell it 20, thinking $20, now it has billed $200.00. What's sad about this is he originally paid via PartyKey. I noticed in my stats his $10 was not listed, so I emailed to inquire. After 10 emails they tell me they charged his account back and gave him his money back as they suspected fraud. When I told them he was a personal friend and I doubted he was doing anything fraudulent, they said for him to try again and they'd not our 'friendship' on the account.

Ticked me off they didn't email to tell me his transaction was rejected.

SO now he's gone through 2 processors without success.

Looks promising and I like the design, but it is easy to make a little shopping cart or subscription button?

As for stormpay charging $100 for 10, $10.00 units... Well if the surfer is that dumb then it's his fault...

First, these perverts I know will play dumb if they think the girl on the site will give them personal attention... "PAm. Storm PAy is even screwier. It jumps from saying you must deposit a yadda yadda" -- whatever... the guy needs a pet dog.

Second, how hard is it to say "To access the site, send me 2 StormPay Units ($20.00)" -- even a retard can understand that...

Third, if the guy is retarded and charges $200 and forgets to reverse the charges -- hey that's mo money for me :)

Anyway it's worth a try...

xdcdave 03-31-2003 07:30 PM

Yambo.. what's your rate for credit card transactions? I must be blind or stupid, but I don't see it on your rate sheet. And do you do online check acceptance as well?

E-mail me with the details along with posting in this thread.

He used a subscription button to access StormPay; that's just it. It was a button that I set up specifically to charge him $10 -- it's easy to set up on StormPay.

Storm Pay never told ME it was done via units. If you go to "sell" "sell a single item" you will see that it never explains anything about units

This sounds too good to be true. It also appears to be very poorly executed, which makes me wonder how financially stable it is...

The only thing that bothers me is that the surfer has to become a member of StormPay before he can buy anything... stupid because by the time the surfer has hit the signup page, then filled out the StormPay member form, then validated email, then username and password... he's totally forgot why he started all this mumbo-jumbo in the first place... They need to fix this so that a purchase is not such a long process.
