At approx 3:00 PM our primary Juniper backbone router failed, while we regret this happening, we had planned redundancy into the network, and our backup Juniper backbone router failed into place, due to BGP convergence times, it took approximately 5 minutes to fully reconverge. We are researching the cause of this failure with Juniper, and are securing a new backup router to replace the currently failed. Total outage was approximately 5 minutes.
