March 28, 2003: 7:45 PM EST NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - Halliburton, the energy and construction company once run by Vice President Dick Cheney, is no longer in the running for a $600 million contract to rebuilt post-war Iraq, according to the United States Agency for International Development." http://money.cnn.com/2003/03/28/news...rton/index.htm |

BUT IT'S ABOUT OIL

"Halliburton, which declined to comment, could still be awarded a sub-contractor role."

Where are they now.... I just wish once they would come back and admit it. WHO WAS the last one on here claiming "Cheney's" company had it and all the reason's why? |
"Halliburton has won one Iraq-related job. The company's Kellogg Brown & Root unit this week was awarded a contract by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to put out oil fires and make emergency repairs to Iraq's oil infrastructure. Halliburton wouldn't speculate about the deal's monetary value. "
So they may not get the big contract, but they still have this one. |
Understand this
Halliburton can just as easy buy a company that does have a big contract in IRAQ. Don't have to have your name plastered all over, just get the money. Aquire the company, get the money, strip the company of its asests then sell it at a profit. Its the corporate way. I know this first hand. Happened to me (company I worked for) |
Dont worry about them, they couldnt risk the bad press right now. This is just one contract of many, halliburton along with many other companies will ultimately make billions. Wait and see.
