Life is fucked up

I was at the cinema tonight with my girlfriend and I got a text message but I left it coz I was watching the movie. Then my fone started vibrating. Someone was calling me so I figured it was important.

I missed the call but I got the text mesage. It was weird what I felt when I read it. I had to read it 3 times to really believe it.

A guy the same age as me who I went to school with for 7 years was found dead in the grounds of our old school tonight. He wasn't one the nicest guys around. He was into drugs and shit. Not extremely hard drugs! He was a bit of a drop out. He was an amazing soccer player and had the potential to be big but never took it.....

Well I dunno what he was doing with his life but anytime I seen him he was alwys asking how I was. I seen him on Thursday night at the shop near my house. Then today I find out he is dead

Its weird the way life is. It just made me realise how lucky I have been in life!

people mess up their lives - it's tragic when young people do. Life's a marathon not a sprint but you can't tell some people that, they can't grasp that one day they will or can be in a whole other place in their lives.

so how did he die? O.D? or do they suspect foul play?

There is 3 stories going about right now!
  • 1. He collapsed and died (possibly O.D.)
    2. His brother and him were arguing and his brother stabbed him
    3. He got a kicking from some guys who he didn't get on with
So I dunno what to believe yet. Aparently his brother has admitted it to the police and given himself up. I'm sure I'll find out tomorrow what happened!

Very sad indeed!

The first truth is that life is suffering i.e., life includes pain, getting old, disease, and ultimately death.

Death is much worse when it happens to someone you know, especially when they had potential in their lives.

I had a friend I went to highschool with die last september. We weren't really close, but I worked with him and he was a pretty cool guy. Really nice guy who'd always do a favour for ya if you needed.

It turns out he was beaten to death when he moved to Calgary. I think it might have had something to with his family. He came from a fairly disturbed native family which was sort of typical of the town I came from. I was at his house a few times, and you could see the problems with drugs and crime going on there. It's just sad because he was really honest one there, who actually had a job and stayed away from drugs. And he's the one who's dead now.

Just sad. It's weird to think about death. That you will never see this person ever again. Kinda strange to think about. Sometimes I wonder what he's doing, then I remember he's dead. It always takes me a while to grasp the fact that he's gone forever.

That is some sage advice.
