Iphone 7 will be a disaster

iPhone 7: Apple to ship lightning to 3.5mm dongle with each new iPhone | BGR

It says it will have a Lighting to 3.5mm thing.

So know one will care.

Personally I would prefer that as over the years I have found that consent plugging and unplugging the 3.5mm thing weakens it over time and no longer works.

Besides, I would have thought people are moving towards bluetooth headphones anyway.

I meant bluetooth headphones not the hands free kits.

Though I do think you can listen to music via some bluetooth hands free headsets.

But if I was listening to music I would use bluetooth headphones for safety. If you are wired to your phone then its easier to steal.

If its bluetooth then you can put your phone away safe, plus keep it dry if its raining.

And as it says, it comes with a converter. So I do not think people will care.

It may even be that they make headphones with functions to operate your phone too. At the moment I think you can take pics and make a call with the headphones that come with the iPhone, but suppose you could do even more.

To be honest I would get rid off ALL jacks on a phone and make them charge wireless. That way they become more waterproof.

The new connector saves space, letting Apple make the phone smaller and or pack more goodies into it. People will still be able to connect their headphones into it.

I think what people may have thought was, you were going to need brand new headphones.

Years ago Nokia made many phones have to have a dedicated headphone.

I think that was why people were fuming. They had (in some cases) spent hundreds of pounds on headphones and presumed they could no longer use them.

So it looks like its no big deal.

It looks like you can still use your headphones.

I am guessing they (apple) will be bringing out there own iHeadphones or somthing to take advantage of the socket.

I suspect if anything people will prefer this.

I'll be hanging on to my small Apple holding.

The company makes a stupendous amount of money, who cares if the iPhone 7 isn't as popular as previous models. I still have an iPhone 6 and probably will keep it another two years. People hang on to their phones longer.

Headphone jack is used for more than just headphones. Also if your car stereo isn't bluetooth capable how does someone charge their phone while listening to music in their car for example?

my car is bluetooth and have a bluetooth ear piece. Sure some people will be pissed but outta the 4 iPhones I've had so far I've given away every set of headphones. :2 cents:
