So how did pokemonGo get access to people's emails/pictures etc?

It does not make sense, how would google even have the option available for app creators to get your actual emails? :helpme:error
And - if app by a big name company did this shit, how many other companies git your emails without you even knowing? Which again brings us back to the first question - how come google allow this access in the first place, this is more than unbelievable!

It's owned by the Google offshoot Alphabet and had the old Google Android priveledges, they hadn't been switched over yet, supposedly

I'm not sure about Apple, but on Android you see the permissions you give an App before you use it - You have to give it permission - If that's not the case on Apple then blame them...

But is there a permission checkbox to check/read/download your actual emails? Common sense says that such permission box should not exist.

the British parents are more concerned with weird people noticing backgrounds near their homes of other players, able to see where youth are at the time, but yes, this is also pretty bad :disgust

It says something like 'Access To Email' - On Android there are no boxes - You accept or you don't use the app...

It would be unbelievable if google allowed app creators/owners actually read your emails, download your pictures etc like in this case. 'Access To Email' must mean something else.

Some of them are pretty crazy. One app a friend told me about had wanted access to "user information." If even said they wanted the ability to modify websites that I am visiting. i turned that one down.
