Tour de France is just past the half way point and it has been amazing since the first stage. The British riders are killing it.

Today on Mount Ventoux, the yellow jersey, Chris Froome was in a crash, abandoned his bike, and started running up the mountain to the finish line.

Does it still count as a win if he runs through the finish line instead of cycling through?

cycle sports are now one of the few sports the Brits are still the masters at.

No, he would be disqualified from the race. You have to finish with a bike even if it's in your hand.

Because the accident happened within 3 Km of the finish line, he was awarded the same time as the group he was in plus the time gain. He was able to retain the yellow jersey.

I really hope the organization will do something.. Next time there will be a serious accident.

I also thought it was boring in the beginning, but when you learn a bit more about the teams and their strategies its actually pretty cool..

i call it one of the sleep sports.

It's an excuse for mostly the elderly to watch TV during the day while sleeping.
