Could you offer the videos without encoding? The idea is a good one, and there's always room for video in the biz, but not everyone (see Pipecrew's response) wants the dvds encoded.

Maybe offer both encoded and non? Not sure what help I've been, but hey, it was a thought.

the download area should archive download links into two sections, "downloaded" and "not downloaded".

How can you prove i actually read those lines of text though? I may have jjust browsed over them without actually reading it :)
