Mass uncontrolled migration performs different functions.

It allows the bleeding heart liberals living in upper-middle-class suburbia to feel good.

It drives down wages, reduces labour disputes and gives employers a large pool of workers.

Drive up house prices and rents.

Overloads the public sector with problems. Education, healthcare, crime, housing, unemployment, etc. All present problems for politicians and bureaucrats to deal, without adding the extra money to tax revenues to pay for the problems.
