How to get traffic with original content (Part2)

This is Part 2 of "How to get traffic with original content"

3. Where to get content

The first question that you might have when starting a website as a webmaster is where to get content from. As a webmaster, there are a few ways to get your content:

Create yourself

This is by far the most difficult way to get content, but it is also the best way to get unique content. Content that you create yourself can be anything; from a blog post about an experience you had or a review about something you read. But you can also create a video in which you introduce a product, site or anything else. Use your creativity to create original, unique and quality content. If you manage to create something that is remarkable and worth sharing, it might even go viral and generate a lot of free traffic for you.

Free offers from paying sites

Many paying sites that offer picture or video content, also offer a limited set of pictures and videos that affiliates can use for free. Often these are high quality picture galleries and short introduction videos that can be placed on your site with a link to the paying site. The benefit is that you get free content, but the downside is that you have to link to another site. So, you must consider if that site is relevant and interesting for your visitors.

User generated content

Some of the most popular sites (not only in the adult industry) allow their visitors to add content to the site. This means that the content is provided BY users, FOR users. This is great because you don?t have to create any content yourself. But you do have to monitor what the users place on your site. Otherwise, there could be legal implications if they upload something that is illegal or that they simply took from another website or source.

Bought content

Another way to get content is to buy it from other sources, like other websites. The advantage of this method is that you have the rights to use and publish it. You could also hire content writers that will create content for you and your site.

Stolen or ?borrowed? content

Don?t take content from other sites or sources without written permission stating you can use it. Copyright infringements can get you into big trouble, not only with the law, but a DMCA (copyright) complaint might also hurt your SEO rankings.

If you do need to reuse content from another site, the least you should do is to add a link to the source. This does not mean they are OK with it, but the consequences might be a bit friendlier since you are acknowledging that you copied it.

In order to keep things legal, bear in mind that using content that you are not allowed to is illegal. We recommend that you to adhere to the laws of the country you reside in and also to the rules and regulations detailed in our Terms of Service.

4. Optimize content for SEO

When you create content you want that content to be easily indexed by search engines like Google. Search or organic traffic is free and therefore brings the best return on investment (ROI). Without going into details about SEO in this article, we would like to point you to a few important aspects to take in consideration when creating content.

So, here?s a list of the some important SEO tips:
  • Create quality content
  • Use proper on-page headings, like H1 (only one), H2, H3, etc.;
  • For images, use descriptive file names (if possible);
  • For images, use a relevant, descriptive ALT attribute;
  • Use internal links from one page to another within your site;
  • Use relevant, descriptive link texts;
  • Create an attractive meta title and limit it to 60 characters;
  • Create a relevant meta description and limit it to 150 characters;
  • Use friendly URLs;
  • Use structured data (rich snippets) for videos;
  • Avoid duplicate content;
  • Add a breadcrumb path with structured data;
  • Make your site mobile friendly;
  • Make sure search engines have full access to all files, including CSS and JavaScript.

5. Promo tools

AWE offers loads of promo tools to rely on, whatever your site's nature may be. As we mentioned earlier, though, don't over-stuff the page with ads as your own content is worth as much as the tools promoting your performers.

There are some promo tools though, that by themselves qualify as profitable added content to your site.
The most important and most effective promo tool to add is the Live Feed that is able to provide unique, live content and is also highly customizable.

A Live Feed selection is also available in the Slide Bar tool, it offers customized content and can be placed anywhere on your site.
Another versatile tool due to its customization options is the Custom Iframe. It provides valuable content of performers and you are free to decide all the attributes you wish to display: color scheme, number, width and distance of the boxes, you can select your category and even personalize the thumbnails by revealing or hiding model names. The Custom Iframe is especially recommended if you have a responsive site.

Provide visitors with an extensive amount of information on the models with the XML Feed. An extensive amount of performer details: name, willingness,sexual preference, photos, categories and subcategories, price, sex, age, weight, height, online status, hair color and length, eye color, ethnicity, bio and languages are displayed and supply a great deal of content to your site. If you have a list page, you can expand by the use of an XML Feed.

I hope you enjoyed this article, and wish you all the best for the upcoming future.

Sincerely yours,

Content doesn't need to unique to be successful. It needs to be entertaining. Tubes are full of nonunique content and win hand over fist.

A girl who looks like 1,000s of other girls, doing the same thing 10,000 of other girls do. Isn't unique even if this is her very first scene or first scene on that sofa with that guy.

No white label is unique because it has a different colour background and banner.

You might as well say this Starbucks is unique because it's the only Starbucks on this street.

This thread is 10 years too late.

In today's world of driving traffic. Content is king. It used to be enough to dump people onto a site and hope. Once Tubes took over those days were over.

More than getting traffic, they're retaining it. People bookmark them and rarely have to use Google to find the porn they want. Why use Google to find a niche or pornstar when it's pretty much guaranteed that if it's online. It's on a Tube.

Content for promotion has to be entertaining and tempt viewers to buy.

Webcam sites are in a great place to produce such content. Pornsites also should find it easy. But too many are still promoting the same way they did 14 years ago. Put content from the site online for free and hope people will buy. It worked great for Newsgroups, once TGPs got going ratios were appalling. YES. Converting 1-200 clicks is bad, converting 1-1,000 who saw the TGP Gallery is appalling. Putting up more free porn to get even fewer people buying is insanity.

I want to add some more:
link popularity.
site speed.
plugins (prefer none).
above the fold rendering.

You can do that, but you have to change all the information to make it unique (title, basically add some value) so you can get some search engine traffic in the future.
