just got an email from CE... about some 'scoopy' program they are closing.

what is this? and why might they be closing it?

They closed it due to circumstance that are beyond their control. :glugglug

uncle scoopy is their celeb site. apparently its been shut down because of legal reasons regarding the content CE used.

aren't celeb sites - a stapel of most programs??

From what i understand - it's a niche - whose affiliates target and convert well... might i be the first to suggest this is an interesting development.

if CE didn't think it was possible to find another supply of content - does anybody else agree - that we're about to see the end of celeb sites from US companies?

Scoopy is an independent site that was around before their affiliation with CE, and it sounds like they're still planning on being around. It's just CE's affiliate program for scoopy that's ending. As I recall, CE had the same thing happen with Mr. Skin.

Oddly enough, when the point of a site is to break the law, that site is often on shaky ground.
