Hey all - I have been away for a while - Sorry to a couple of you that I let down...

Most of you already know I am bipolar - I had a real crash and have been in hospital for a while.....

I am 75% back in action - A new med is doing it's job - I need to contact a couple of people and I will do that over the next few days...

Eddy bi-polar is Hell. My girlfriend of the past 10 years suffers from it. Some meds seem to make her worse. Her 6 brothers and sisters also suffer and one also has Aspergers.

I never know if were going to have world class sex or she's going to have a brother come over and threaten to kill me.

I expected to be in the UK so I didn't register for a postal vote...

I would have voted remain - But that's for selfish reasons - It's obviously better for me if we stay in.....

The EU is better for you because you spend time in Spain? I voted out because I wanted democracy back, I'm still not sure they'll let us out though, I'm expecting some kind of fake terror attack or deliberate war which will then cancel the whole Brexit

I think it's a shame that so many people voted on the single issue of immigration without understanding what the EU is and what else it does - Having reruns isnt very democratic though...

Yes, being in Spain so much it certainly effects me if we leave - Already my pounds have lost value when I convert to Euros - Healthcare, pensions ect will also be affected.....

Immigration was the easy way to get people to join onboard, probably wouldn't have won without it. On the other hand there was all kinds of fearmongering on the other side. Glad to hear that you don't want the rerun! :thumbsup

That is a well known GFY fact.

In the lows of bipolar you can be suicidal, I don't know if I'd consider myself bipolar anymore because I haven't taken medication in almost 10 years and haven't had any problems.
Crappy thing is medicine has a lag period to being effective of at least 5-7 days and usually takes even longer.

Be glad if you've never had to experience mental illness. I don't dwell on it or like to think about it but if someone is afflicted with it I'll discuss it with them for a little bit.

17.5 - 20 were the worst years of my life (so far anyway :) )

What happened is I kept cycling in and out until my highs were where I felt bad and my lows were suicidal. Though I had things that happened that made me feel bad, nothing to make me feel the way I did by any standard.

I ended up being hospitalized for 20 days, it cost a little over $20k.

One friend of mine has a kid that's unstable (the biological father most likely passed it on) and her hospital visits last year cost right around $100k. She's lucky she has a job that she can cover that with.


For me, after being on lithium for 2 years and living with a disgusting rash oozing pus and leaking blood all over my chest and back (scars still riddle my back at 31). Fortunately I didn't fall into anything and my mind was ok, it's improved with age.

Some of us know people that are happy all the time for no real reason, and they can't seem to understand why people need to be so downtrodden and depressed.
Your mood serves an evolutionary purpose, some of us are just unfortunate to be skewed in an unfavorable way.

Some of us get doubly fucked, like eddy, gay and crazy! lol.
