you think those people are dumb, either because they were injured while engaged in some risky activity, or paid for the experience to get injured while engaged in risky activity, or believe in motivation that comes from overcoming fears and such that engaging in that sort of activity is claimed to help. you haven't been clear on which of those makes these people dumb to you.
