The One Bill I HATE Paying ...

Fucking car insurance!!!!!!

I just got notice that they cought up to some of my tickets and rerated my policy.

My new anual premium is $12,792.00

so ill be paying over $1k per month just to insure my fucking car!!!

FUCK YOU INSURANCE COMPANIES!!

Even if i drop it to liability only on some shitty car, it will be $7k per year, which i guess is better, but wtf .... i can buy a shitty car for $700 and pay $7k to insure it?!?

Oh well, time to order the updated bus routes and schedules i think.

aztecvision 03-28-2003 05:51 PM

Damn, what type of car do you drive.... Oh wait, you probably live in CA... :1orglaugh

Amputate Your Head 03-28-2003 05:52 PM

xdcdave 03-28-2003 05:53 PM

that is a stupid amount of money man

Pipecrew 03-28-2003 05:54 PM

yeah thats retarded, I am a chronic speeder/student and my insurance is like 1100/year

lil2rich4u2 03-28-2003 05:54 PM

no i live in NY, and its not an expensive car.

Its an '00 mercury sable LS

the car listed at $23k and i leased it for $300 per month.

So with these insurance rates, in 2yrs i could have bought my car in cash!!!

this should be illigal, lol

yes amp, i think i gotta do some walking, heh

Kohun 03-28-2003 05:54 PM

What type of car do you have?

xxxinnovations 03-28-2003 05:54 PM

Most people are unaware that if you are currently with a car insurance company for atleast 6 months, the normal term length, and switch to another company and tell that you are ALREADY insured, your insurance drops by like 50%.

I was paying $500 or some shit a month, switched to a new insurance 6 months after getting the car and insurance and am now paying $210 for the same coverage.

Moral of the story: Do your time if you fucked up or aren't currently insured for 6 months... then switch companies.

He's in New York...

lil2rich4u2 03-28-2003 05:56 PM

wanna know why its so high?

When i was 17yrs old to about 20yrs old, i had alot of race cars, and got alot of tickets ....

I NEVER went to court for them until like 1.5yrs ago, which makes that the conviction date.

As far as insurance companies are concerned, it takes 39 months for a ticket to fall off.

I have 16 on my license in total

yep, even when my insurance was reasonable, i HATE paying them!!!

I normally dont bitch about bills, but this one makes no sense.

Ok fine, you pay $300 per month so you are covered if you get into an accident.

Then you get into an accident, and even if it isnt your fault they always find a way to jack up your rate!

WTF?!

they have 80,000 old people paying $100 per month, $80,000 teens paying like $600 a month, 80,000 companies paying for corperate accounts, and me paying $1,100 per month.

Dont they have enough money NOT to be fucking assholes and pull jerky schemes to get money out of you?!

The only jerky scheme is some retard who gets 16 tickets and doesn't go to court for them or pay them.

btw, you sound like you're struggling for money with your $1100/month car insurance. Makes all your endless whining last month about being evicted and not having a cable modem sound really stupid.

your an ass

I dont care who it is, where he lives OR how much money he makes, nobody in their right mind is going to pay $12k to an insurance company. Not unless you own 72 farrari's

Put your self in that situation, even if you make over 1 mil a year, even if you have a bad speeding history ... can you honestly justify that expense??

TurboTrucker 03-28-2003 06:47 PM

I pay $10,500 a year, but that's for commercial truck insurance with $850k of coverage.

KRL 03-28-2003 06:54 PM

16 tickets. Keep that kind of driving up and your 17th is gonna be for manslaughter. You're pushing the odds dude.

I have a friend you has 2 DUI's, speeding tickets, the works. He has 2 cars and pays $15K a year for insurance.

Try Progressive, Geico, USAA or GE. They have the best rates.

AND SLOW THE FUCK DOWN BEFORE YOU KILL YOURSELF OR SOMEONE ELSE'S FAMILY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

problem is, nobody will touch me with these tickets now so im stuck with this one company.

I actually dont drive that fast (dont laugh) anymore. These were all from years ago when i was a new and stupid driver with a hotrod.

I actually only have 1 speeding ticket on there, the others are stuff like "improper right turn" "faliure to signal" "driving with suspended license" "driving on sidewalk" "unsafe start (burnout)"

ya know, the usual stuff us 17yr old kids do when they get their first hotrod, lol

I think my only option is to pay my dues and serve my time ... gotta hit the bus for a year and let these fuckers fall off.

I can't wait to get my license back this August so I can start paying $500 a month insurance plus $100 a month rent for another year for an ignition breathalyzer system

Gotta love them DUIs, especially in Ontario.

USAA is by far the cheapest if you can get it. I pay $1600 a year for a 2002 F-250, a 2001 Vette, and a 1999 Volvo.

Actually, the area that lilRich is living in is one of the highest in the country.

Newark and Jersey City top the list every year and are less than 30 miles from him. I lived in JC and saw my rates cut in half when I left the area.

iroc409 03-28-2003 09:11 PM

i'm with progressive. can't complain, although i've never had to file a complaint.. no accident, just speeding tickets.

anyways, they keep dropping my rates as long as i stay with them. every 6 months it seems to go down. in fact, since my camaro has been in storage, comprehensive is down to $50/6months, with a $150-250 deductible.

anyway, here's my best speeding story. well, besides the time they hauled me to jail, but that wasn't fun.

going home from the bowling alley on a wednesday night, about 1.30a. empty road, i lived out kinda in the country. not a _soul_ on the road, so i let the old 'roc open up a bit. there was a small "town" i had to go through and make a turn, so i started to slow down. i figured i was doing 128, that's about where the car topped out (stock then). about 3-4blocks from the stoplight, a pair of headlights popped on on the side of the road, and i knew i was fux0red. so, i get around the corner, and there's another one. of course, i get nailed. got lucky though, only nailed for 90 in a 55. so the cop asks, of course, "you know how fast you're going?". "no" i reply, "i don't have any guages." so, he says "yeah, but you know you were going fast, right?' .. "yeah, probably." so, of course, at this point i'm completely coherent, driving a nice car at high speed in a very strait line. obviously i'm drunk. so, i get out of the car, and one starts searching the car. he looks out the car at me and says "hey, you don't have any guages, do you?!" fucking duh. i was installing my new custom dash with autometer ultra-lites (the silver ones), which happened to include a 200-mph speedo and 10k rpm mem tach. anyways. the guys comes back, and they start talking about the fine (it's the biggest speeding fine... $223 w/ court fees), and one of the sherrifs starts _dancing_ behind my car and hollering about how expensive it is. i wanted to punch him, but didn't. they search me too, and then i drive home. great fun, and another $223 to the state. :(

come to think about it, i have a bunch of good stories, like the cop that got laid, and the times i've been pulled over within 100ft of my driveway because i was driving slow... heh.

yep :thumbsup
