Bitcoin had been crashing. Now it has shot back up. Gonna be a crazy day on Wall Street, maybe.

Yesterday, the GBP was $1.48USD. This morning, already, $1.36USD! The Euro also fell, 2-cents, to $1.10USD.

If anything, it will be more affordable for us Americans to travel! The GBP was $1.55 the last time I was in the UK. At the same time, the Euro was $1.35!

Now there's talk of a Vote on re-unification of Ireland Northern Ireland with the rest of Ireland!

I only have a couple of programs that pay out in GBP. Those go to my London-based bank anyway. So lo loss on the currency exchange at the time of payout. No loss when I use those funds to pay for things in the UK.

I wonder if the upshot is temporary? It was $766 on the 20th and was around $586 yesterday. It came back up but only to arond $678 where it seems to have levelled off. Do you think it will tumble?

Long term I think BTC and SLV/GLD will hold better than USD.

precious metals will always be there, there is no history with digital currencies so not sure what you could be basing that on.

Besides the probability of a binary event that could cause some volatility I view BTC as a commodity that will benefit from the falling dollar.
