Does anyone use a Payoneer card in Canada?

To be more specific, if you use a Payoneer Prepaid Mastercard in Canada, is it possible to get USD currency from a teller at a bank for example?

Back when Epassporte was around the ATM would give Canadian dollars equivalent to the USD that you were withdrawing. But I don't want CAD bills, just USD's. Banks usually charge 2.5% just to do the currency exchange and I can do that myself for 1% or less, which adds up over time.

Thanks

Ask Chis Mallick or Michael O for assistance with this.

You can try locating a USD ATM and withdraw from one of them.

Thanks Benoit, appreciate it. That is a good solution. Have you tried Payoneers Bank Transfer option to a USD Account in Canada?

I haven't to be honest - lemme know how it goes!

Yes, and yes it's possible to select the currency of your choice at CIBC ATMs.

Now someone take a look at my damn thread -- https://gfy.com/fucking-around-and-pr...streamate.html

How much does the ATM's charge to withdraw the USD per use?

I use a payoneer card in Canada. I beleive you can with cibc, but I only take out Canadian, I just see the option for US currency.

An update for anyone who is curious. I tried the Payoneers Global Bank Transfer option to a USD Account in Canada and it worked, however, with bank wire receive costs and intermediary banks taking a cut of fees, I ended up with $45 less. In other words it costs $45! Which is too much to receive a wire via this method.

Also for this to work will depend on whether you signed up through a Payoneer partner or not as the partners have different rules of what and what can't be done and any other fees. Long story short though I opted for the Payoneer Card, which will most likely be the most economical.

Curious however about the cards shipping. Typically how many days did it take you to get your card to canada from their ship date?

robwod 07-28-2016 02:39 PM

Maximoi: my card took about 10 days I think. Certainly, it was less than 2 weeks and I never paid for any expedited fees. When the card was renewed, it was again only about 10 days before I received the new card in the regular mail.

That confirms my guess that it should arrive sooner than the anticipated dates they give which is 20-28 days after the ship date, so I won't be paying for expedited shipment fees. Thanks Rob!
