Pest Control is pretty good. I got it when I bought Zone Alarm. Been working pretty good for me.

SpyBot Search & Destroy

gets a few more things than Ad Aware

If you are running Adaware using XP, use this instead:

Check SpyBot.Com and try out Search and Destroy. It is a much better piece of software, though not as easy to download. If the maker made it more readily available the hits would crash the server.

Lavasoft's product is actually dangerous at the current time, and would be better not used until the new Version is put up (Looking like April last I checked) When it is out and available, based on Lavasoft's record, I am sure that it will be a nice piece of software.

If one of the spyware killers doesn't get rid of it, a simple way to stop it from working is to do a 'find' with Windows explorer for all drives *gator* and delete the directory. :winkwink:

It usually loads under \programs\gator on c:\> or if you have windows booting from a different drive, it might install itself there depending on your system.

ad aware is good, throw my vote in. also found another decent program called SwatIt. try it out, it's free. :thumbsup

i use them both, but i'm a redundant man-ho with my computer security and protection.
