Hello, recently we've acquired a company who owns a quite large number of licenses.

KVS is the BEST tube script available on the market. Calling it "tube script" is reductive. You can do everything you want with it, from members area to CJ tube.

Support is amazing. Tickets are replied within few hours (mostly few minutes) with long and detailed answers. They are also available for customizations.

If you are looking for a tube script, KVS is the most robust, well designed, well coded piace software available on the market.

I already have Mech Bunny, which is a great script, but I am curious what the differences are between Mech Bunny and KVS. Anyone that has used both scripts have any thoughts?

Both are good. The advantage of MechBunny is that you pay one time and use the script on as many sites as you want. KVS is more expensive, but is very good too.

Do you know any serious tube projects with thousands of content, members and millions daily traffic that run on Mechbunny? I don't think so. But there are hundreds like these on KVS.
If you ask this question then you probably don't need KVS yet. But if you feel that you are stuck and limited on something, then please take a closer look at KVS.

Here are some things that are either not possible or have very limited functionality in other scripts:

1) Ability to have as many video formats as you need (e.g. 360p, 480p, 720p). Ability to add new formats on-the-fly and have them autocreated for all content. Our clients will easily migrate to any new formats that will appear in future without losing anything. I doubt this will be possible with other scripts.

2) Ability to have as many screenshot formats as you need and create new on-the-fly. Or replace existing ones if found a better IM options or new IM features added. Want a fresh design with another screenshots size? No problem with KVS! No need to start a new site.

3) Ability to have multiple storage servers combined with CDNs and load balancing. Ability to limit speed for specific countries (do not allow non-profitable countries to overload your traffic port). Easy content movement between servers.

4) Ability to add multiple conversion servers and convert content faster. If your project has 1000 videos only you probably don't need this, but if not, if 10k or 100k?

5) Support for big data volumes in admin panel. Imagine you have 10k pornstars. Will you be able to specify them when editing videos in other scripts? I guess the answer is simply NO.

6) Two-level caching system is better than only files or memcache and can handle much more. If you have thousands of content pages and 1M+ traffic and your server is rebooted, it will be a nightmare to bring it back with only memcache, while KVS will handle this much easier and faster.

7) Ability to have limited admin panel accounts for limiting work responsibility in admin panel. This is very important on huge projects where you will have to hire people for managing content, texts, translations and etc.

8) Self-diagnostic feature can check every aspect including searching for missing content files. At any time you can easily migrate your project to another server and verify there are no issues.

9) You can easily modify site behavior from admin panel. Changing index page contents requires 5-30 minutes if you understand how to work with KVS site engine and don't need to add new styles.

10) Paysite features. Token-based economy inside. Allow your site users to sell their content and pay them out real money. Have a premium section and motivate users to post more content / comments to earn tokens and get access to premium section.

11) Finally, more data is supported for advanced sites, such as channels, playlists, multiple favourite groups and posts (text / file content of any type).

With KVS you can always be sure that your project is fully scalable, will support new features at any time (including the future features that we are planning to add, just because adding them to your site is design work and not programming).

So if you feel that your current project is limited and you want it to be more, you can use KVS for that. We already have migrators for the most of popular scripts.

KVS is great, but it is costly to build a network with. Plus you cannot install it yourself. Vast majority of tubes never need all this advanced functionality. If creating network of small tubes, need something quick to install and have running fast so can move on to next one.

That's probably right. If you know you need a network of small tube sites to accumulate some seo traffic you can use anything free, including wordpress. But you can also get KVS as a content base for all these tubes, accumulate all your content there and just export manually or via feeds to all your network. You will get many KVS benefits and at the same time you will have your network up at a small cost. In future you can also use this KVS installation for your advanced tube and you can also promote it from within your network.

This is the way how we see some KVS clients doing. Other clients create 1-2 cool tubes on KVS and grow them. It is much easier to manage several big tube sites rather than dozens of smaller ones. Don't you think that you need to create tube network just because scripts that you are using do not allow your projects to grow and you have to run more and more? :)

From the other point KVS is not really as expensive as you think (BTW: you can also install it by yourself, this process is easy and we are always glad to help with installation issues if any). Konrad is an amazing guy and his script is amazing as well... but KVS is superior to every other tube/CSM script out there.

Took a quick look at the admin. Where are the switches for scheduling content if you were to use it as a paysite CMS? For instance, if I want to show a user 20 videos his first day as a member and then start cycling thru a catalog of videos one per week?

You can do that using tokens. It's something custom. You should ask their support and they reply you very quickly. We have done something like that. Not exactly the same.

I said "custom" looking at our experience. But in our project other things were involved. Like NATS, trials and other things. Everything done the same business day. Maybe for what you are asking, there's already a function.

There should be, you can't really advertise the product as a possible paysite CMS without basic functions like scheduling content updates.

Scheduling updates for EVERYBODY is one thing. Scheduling updates for each user is another thing. Possible is possible. Usually you have to use some "work-around" because the script is created as tube script.

In our case we would like that each user was able to view a limited number of videos of his choice. Tokens are created for something different but we've been suggested to use them to implement it and I have to admit that it works very well.

Sometimes is possible to do what you need but the "name" is different. You have to explain the support about your needs and they reply to you in no time with detailed instructions.

This is fully supported for videos and albums and posts.
This functionality is disabled by default, because it will make admin panel a bit more difficult and it is not required for 99% of our clients.

When this functionality is enabled in setup, for each video and album you can decide:
1) Specify exact publishing date (e.g. 27.06.2016)
2) Specify relative day in days (positive or negative)
2a) Positive relative day (e.g. +3) will mean that this content will be visible to member only after 3 days from his registration in KVS database
2b) Negative relative day (e.g. -3) will mean that all users (including ones that are not registered at all) will see that this content was added 3 days ago

Using this functionality you can schedule videos to any future period of member presence at your site. You can add all videos at once and KVS will simulate different available videos for different members.

Could be a very good tool, no recurring fee is always a good thing. I'm guessing your demo is set up to display tube admin rather than paysite admin, because I don't see the options related to setting up a network of paysites, ie multiple paysites with a hub paysite. Am I missing it or is it also disabled?

In KVS each satellite has a separate admin panel, where you can manage separate site design and have separate stats.
At the same time all content is managed in main admin panel, satellite sites connect to the same database and share content and users.

In reality we don't have russian nationals in our team. The fact that we have our site and admin panel translated to russian language does not mean that we are from russia. There are people living in many countries of the world who are from former soviet union and thus can speak some russian. It is like saying that everyone who speaks english is from britain.

We have been in this business since 2008 and get trust from many big players. You can fully see the history of how KVS was developed since its first release on our site. I didn't see that with other scripts. Thousands of projects run under KVS, many of them are so huge that you can only imagine, many of them are presented on our site. Again I didn't see that with other scripts. NO EXAMPLES OF REALLY COOL PROJECTS!

So why not trust us??

Mechbunny is awesome, but I don't think Konrad built in the paysite admin features. Strictly tubes or maybe single sites. I could be wrong.

I've never seen KVS at all until I saw this thread. Competition is always good, maybe this will spur Konrad to do an expansion of Mechbunny. Any software I can buy outright and use forever instead of paying SaaS fees is starting off on the right foot imo.
