You are better off doing late night 2 minute commercials

If you will do half as good as 900 numbers did when that was hot you will still make a decent return

Just make sure you have an easy to remember domain because many watching will be in bed, just like they do with 800 numbers for that reason.

Been there done that with a mainstream golf company. So-So returns on a massive investment. Must have capital to be repetitive. Very repetitive

Ya it was profitable, alot of things are when you have resources of venture capital. God I cant remember the figures off hand but for us to be successful in mainstream with a golf product we needed six figures. Maybe adult would be different. I know of a few infomercials that were dirt cheap and didnt do to bad. My buddy knows the guys from triple-edge wiper blades one of the originals and those fucks are still reaping rewards.

A lot of lucrative ones, are that, lucrative. Might make a lot of $$$ or might lose a lot of $$$. I remember the #1 psychic in Canada filing bankruptcy a couple years ago, had ads all over the place, and eventually ran outta $$$.

I was not reffering to video sale's per say, although it would be incorperated.I agree capital and repetition would be key.

Make a reality based web site, ala Girl's Gone Wild Live Soriety House, type of concept (obviously not that name).

Maybe cross breed it with two free video(s), one sent on the online join date, the other is sent on their reoccuring date if they do not cancel(maybe a meet the girls video).

They sign up to your pay site. You make money of the site, you get reoccuring if they stay on, this makes the product that much more valuable on a infomercial basis.

Here is the awesome part. You get this massive traffic from the infomercial as well, EVEN if they don't sign up, you make bucks off of the massive traffic.

I could think of many other twists on this, but that is in concept in which i had in mind.

Also a catchy url, with perhaps some free content, or tgp, search, or something. If you can keep the infomercial going, brand this url, it would become a ongoing income stream long after the infomercial is dead.

Targeted first of course, than expand in as many markets as the demographic's suggest based on initial success..

what doesn't make sense is why advertise an adult WEBSITE on tv? why not take all that money and advertise online to people you know actually have computers? lol

Now if your idea is just to sell video's and dvd's that is actually viable... BUT how do you sell a "reality site"? You can't really describe what it is,you wouldn't be able to show footage (not like you can show two people fucking and put a black box over their shit) ... I dunno,maybe you know something I don't so go for it :glugglug

I was thinking of a soft core approach to be honest. So you
you could market it in the exact same manner as a Girls Gone Wild spot. I would imagine most have internet these days in targeted area(s). Also, television can brand a url or name unlike any other forum.

You could also approach this concept as this;a free week, month, etc. with your video. Still getting them to sign up and taking a crack at reoccuring, also branding the url and capture
other revenue from the traffic, uncluding getting them to opt in on a mail campaign.

there is alot of money in informercials. if you want one done i can hook you up with a production company in tampa that shoots informercials and comercials.

the expesnive part is getting it run on tv.

This is the truth. In porn, the only reason you would have to to run an infomercial is to stroke your ego.

If you are trying to be profitable there are many other places to put a sizeable amount of money that makes a lot more sense.

I disagree. Why should it be excluded from consideration? If you made a url a brand name via television, what would be the long term payoff of that url? Maybe millions? Do you think the popularity and longevity of the Girls Gone Wild could have been done without t.v?
