Lessons you've learned about this biz.
Quiet's thread about the movie startup.com made me think about when I first began in this industry...just figured everyone could post something importan, unimportant, pointless etc that they learned about this biz.
I'd say the most important thing I learned in this biz....DO NOT SKIMP ON HOSTING. #2 would be not to skimp on content:thumbsup |
Network, network network. It does more for you then anything else.

Most important lesson:
Good content makes good sales. Bad/average/overused content makes poor sales. |
don't skimp on buying people lapdances at shows....
that in mind, who's buying me like 50 in toronto? :1orglaugh |

I agree...my biggest mistakes was choosing poor hosting and poor content at a couple of stages in the beginning. Hosting just about killed my biz...been with ISPRIME for quite some time now and am happy. Only problem with as much content as we go through, quality is getting harder and harder to find. |
spend some money and get a GOOD accountant. good advice is not cheap.
|
never thought I'd type this.....
hmmm..... on second thought.... why the hell should I. nevermind. |

Also, you create your own luck. Other than maybe hooking up with the right person, it's just all hard work and good marketing, just like they taught in school..
it's not a get rich quick deal for sure.. |
seriously though - trust no one. everything is calculated risk. period.
|
i will never give up the goods.
