Yeh, I'm not seeing why this is such big shocking news. He wasn't going to "tarnish" his "legacy" by backing Sanders. The party is in too much turmoil right now for him to refrain from backing anyone. He clearly wasn't going to be endorsing Trump, he's been bashing him from the beginning.
