The only Funnel Web Spiders in Victoria is the Victorian Funnel Web that can be found exclusively in the Dandenong ranges, which is not dangerous or aggressive.

The Sydney funnel web (which is deadly) is found in New South Wales around Sydney. Rarely they are found further south of Sydney but nowhere near Melbourne.
